Re: Herencia Latina by Ranger 6-Jun-06/10:30 AM
Ranger, this is wonderful. A riddle poem, I must say. If it wasn't for Imp's insight I was getting quite distracted by Dovina's ideas, wondering what in the world could you be so precisely explaining. Am not familiar with viole, is it to do with a shade of violet? Am clueless.
Re: End by MacFrantic 18-Jun-06/10:55 PM
I fell that this could be an excerpt from a story. somehow it gives me an eerie feeling. I don't particularly like death themes esp when settled around brutality.
Re: Field Of Surnames by Caducus 18-Jun-06/11:04 PM
Somehow I get the feeling of being in a cemetary.
Re: The Last of The Winds by emilyowey 18-Jun-06/11:07 PM
Its a nice idea but ends in being an okay-okay poem.
Re: The Runt by Caducus 18-Jun-06/11:11 PM
Cool. Whether real or not, the choice of topic is good. It's like you've put a story to it. Great job.

Re: A Love Potion by forsaken 18-Jun-06/11:18 PM
A nice title. And a good read.

But there seems to be no consistencey in time and metre and its as if some lines are like chewing gum. They've been pulled and stretched.
Re: Be The One by forsaken 18-Jun-06/11:20 PM
Looks like you're a loser at love that you're poems are written to beckon someone in particular. It doesn't seem that you've got her. (No offence meant).
Re: If I Had by forsaken 18-Jun-06/11:21 PM
There you go again.

Re: Money Back by drnick 22-Jun-06/10:49 PM
Hmmmmm. I like the last two lines that sum up the first six lines . Other than that I ain't relating much to it although I get the scene. Sorry to disappoint.
Re: A Little War Victim by amanda_dcosta 25-Jun-06/9:19 AM
Thanks Al.

As for the last lines... it merely means.... come and take me away lest I'm history.
regarding some deleted poem... 26-Jun-06/8:39 AM
It's a nice setting.... one that got me thinking. My kids often play with toy guns and I think from now on,watching my kids play, what's going to play on my mind is this..... somewhere, somebody will never become old due to probably my encouraging my kids to becoming so insensitive to violence and war. I think I need to do something about it, in my own way.
Re: A Little War Victim by amanda_dcosta 26-Jun-06/8:46 AM
I read this out to my five year old and the first thing he says after I read it is... "what is her name?"

Would anyone like to do the honors and name this unfortunate nameless child of my poem?
Re: comfort by the indign 30-Jun-06/8:42 AM
This is pretty good. I would also like it if you'd use upper case letter whereever necessary. I like the theme you chose and how you've presented it.
