Re: calendared by cobalt 24-Sep-02/8:14 PM
Stanza 3 is brilliant! The title rips me from the garden and plants me right back in the mundane. In spite of that, I like this poem. 9/10
Re: a comment on Trespasser at the Men's Bathing Pond by Christof 23-Sep-02/7:27 AM
I pictured a man as well. The title set me up for it. I like it better now. ;)
Re: a comment on Here In The Heart of Amber by Lenore 23-Sep-02/7:08 AM
Wasn't it you that said another of my poems reminded you of Dylan? Anyhow, I won't change it, you'll just have to sing it from now on. ;)
Re: Punishment and Punishment again by vulcan 23-Sep-02/6:57 AM
As a Woman I feel that this poem is grossly gender bent! ;)
Re: a comment on Here In The Heart of Amber by Lenore 23-Sep-02/6:50 AM
I'm happy to see this getting high marks. Thank you one and all!
I chipped away at this gem for weeks! It originally had 10 stanzas. I wasn't too sure about the repeated refrain but after its honing I thought it could work. perhaps you're right.
Re: Bitter as Wormwood by vulcan 23-Sep-02/6:40 AM
A Curse upon all who decimate such sacred ground! Great poem! My wormwood has over taken the path in my herb garden but I love her still. You should see how she shines in moonlight! 10/10
Re: Pilgrim by timfowler 23-Sep-02/6:33 AM
I like it however I'm not crazy about the use of 'flaring'. I stumbled on that one line. over all I give it a 7/10
Re: For James Thomson(1834-1882):an Epitaph by vulcan 23-Sep-02/6:27 AM

Re: NIGHTMILK SUNBLOOD by horus8 17-Sep-02/11:51 AM
I thought the message was pretty clear. Christianity is the bane of humanity. 10!
Re: Full Fathom Five by vulcan 17-Sep-02/11:37 AM

Re: Pagan ME King by proteusplum 6-Sep-02/1:43 PM
Too bad about >do not float me out to sea> you seemed like a good candidate for a Viking funeral. Pity really, they're my favorite.
Re: Crop Circle by Lenore 6-Sep-02/1:26 PM
Can you imagine my disappointment? I had high hopes for that film. Silly me, I thought it was going to be about Crop Circles. Instead they tried to spoon feed us crap about faith. Oh I did get a good chuckle at all the inappropriate moments. Aliens of superior intelligence rendered lifeless by water, come to a planet covered in such without so much as a wet suit?! Let the record show that this poem is in no way related to or in reference of that deplorable film.
Re: *I am me* by savannah 6-Sep-02/11:49 AM
I like this! And why can't she be all those things? Are we not the stuff of stars? 7/10
Re: At the Olde Absinthe by Limness 6-Sep-02/11:41 AM
Wonders of wormwood my dear.
Re: Celebration by unknown 6-Sep-02/11:30 AM
You naked scalp breathed cinnamon
?? Now I like this poem, but for the life of me I cannot see how that line is first rate. A bald head inhaling spice? I don't get it.
Re: A Musical Dream by vulcan 6-Sep-02/11:25 AM
It's no Rocky Horror Picture Show but it will do....... I suppose. ;)
Re: d e e p e r by daniella 3-Sep-02/9:20 PM
This reminds me of a Beatles tune, the name of which escapes me at the moment. The format made it a bit hard to read but It does evoke the feeling of drifting softly down beneath the sea. nice! 7/10
