Re: a comment on Sacrament by Dovina 17-Jul-04/10:34 AM
I've always wondered if those youth ministers are failed Catholic priests.
Re: a comment on Southern Mississippii Standstill by wilco 17-Jul-04/10:23 AM
That's exactly how it is down here. Except you forgot about the guy in the overalls playing banjo on the steps of the general store. We also like to sleep with our relatives, go to Klan rallies and drink moonshine.

In my experience, Electroman1979 is ultra-fundamentalist Christian and therefore has no tolerance for that which he percieves to be blasphemous. He also has no room for other interpretations due to his unwavering devotion to his religion. I'm sure he's not a bad guy...just closed minded.
Re: Drinking Knowledge by gregsamsa222 14-Jul-04/11:35 AM
I think I would like this better if I had read it before the Zin/ poem. Maybe you set the bar too high and now I want it all to be that good. Still, not bad and better than most of what I've read today.
Re: Zin/Enough/Things/Squeeze/Flow by gregsamsa222 14-Jul-04/11:32 AM
I was turned off by the length of this from someone I hav'nt read before, but now I'm glad I read it anyway. Some of them are better than other (particularly, I think, Zin, Enough and Squeeze) but overall, very good. I'm impressed.
Re: a comment on A Girl’s Climax by Dovina 13-Jul-04/5:03 PM
No, just don't think I've ever heard anyone actually say the word lad.
Re: a comment on A Girl’s Climax by Dovina 13-Jul-04/10:36 AM
lad?
Re: no email, no world by Prince of Void 12-Jul-04/12:22 PM
Is this written in English?
Re: a comment on A Girl’s Climax by Dovina 12-Jul-04/11:54 AM
Sure, except for the heart disease and not being able to walk 3 feet without gasping for air.
Re: a comment on Distance by wilco 8-Jul-04/2:50 PM
I'm sure thats true, but as you repeated, I said that there are no new ideas. Of course there are infinite new ways to say anything.
Re: a comment on A Piñon Limb by Dovina 8-Jul-04/2:49 PM
Perhaps we are the enlightened ones. Or, maybe we're just odd.
Re: a comment on Distance by wilco 8-Jul-04/2:33 PM
Everything is cliche, my friend. It's pompous to think that any thought is original.
Re: A Piñon Limb by Dovina 8-Jul-04/9:06 AM
People are giving this a hard time, but I rather like it.
Re: Worst Sex Ever by Brittanyy 5-Jul-04/12:39 PM
naughty, naughty.
Re: Paradelle of Progress by Dovina 5-Jul-04/12:28 PM
I'm not sure about the form. I'll have to learn about it and will hold my vote until I do so.
Re: Translation by Dovina 5-Jul-04/12:27 PM
Yes, I like this one.
Re: Revision by Dovina 5-Jul-04/12:19 PM
I like this one. When the rules become too concrete, there is little room left for invention. Poetry dies, indeed.
Re: Center Of The Universe by Dovina 24-Jun-04/4:03 PM
I like the thinking behind this but in liu of changing insect in the last line, I would change it in the line "If I crush an insect" to read If I crush a stinkbug or whatever. That would give the person reading something to visualize and, I think, drive your point home more clearly by stating "It was only an insect.
Re: The Sea (revised) by Dovina 24-Jun-04/4:00 PM
I'm glad you learned to like the sea. I'm going there next week and can't freakin' wait.
Re: Skuld Resurrected by SupremeDreamer 24-Jun-04/12:35 PM
Not that am bothered by it, but I think all the profanity takes away from it.
