Re: Momma, don't let your pipebombs grow up to be Jewish by Bachus 19-Aug-03/8:55 AM
I am currently a Marine in Afghanistan. I came here with an attitude that I would eventually uderstand the people here better. I do understand them now. They are fatalistic and thick headed. None of them help one another or themselves. There is nothing but self pity in this country, and hatred for the rest of the world. I know that as soon as the UN forces leave this country the locals will put their women on leashes again, and all will be as it was again. I apologize for ranting. I enjoyed your uninhibited poem. mmmmm...poon tang. A wonderful flowing description of the girl that is intermingled with the act itself. They are one and the same. Excellent, it read smoothly.
Re: the midget of humiliation by Bill Z Bub 18-Aug-03/9:54 AM
I like your imagery. I like how it appeals to several of the senses.
Re: Fuck Me Like Love Fucks Me (changed) by Son Of A Bitch 15-Aug-03/12:29 PM
Very good. It set off my turrets. I like the way it flows. I enjoyed every word. I can't stand poems that have lots of filler. People concentrate too much on an attractive presentation and end up putting too much pen to paper.

I like this one
I hope you don't die

I hope you see the grinning monkey
That's hiding on your back

Tell him to fuck off
He's got the wrong guy

Here is a forward from a book, Grass Sandals about
Basho

"Traditionally, poems in the form called haiku are
characterized by seventeen sylable broken into three
lines with five, seven, and five syllable
respectively. Each haiku includes language that
appeals to two of the five senses - sight, hearing,
smell, touch, and taste, or the additional sense of
movement."

Re: nightly by <~> 5-Aug-03/12:01 PM
Idealy haiku should appeal to at least two of the five senses. It's something I don't do every time either.

This haiku made me hungry. Jelouse of the satisfied man on the beach.

Re: a comment on Clay Man by eliastemplar 4-Aug-03/10:18 AM
There are deffinately stereotypes associated with Marines, but we come from all walks of life. My fellow Marines nick named me Smokejumper because I used to be a fire fighter for the Forrestry Service.
I'll admit that I'm not a typical Marine. However, I think you'd be hard pressed to accurately define the typical Marine.

An extra point for including an air bisquit.
Re: ~Tildoe~ by Thom 3-Aug-03/12:20 PM
I don't get it. It doesn't follow the rules either.

Re: Pilgrimage by Christof 1-Aug-03/8:13 PM
What a queer ending. I don't associate the sense of loss and rememberance with a person, but the hopeful dreams we've had and left behind, the familiar places in our minds.

Thanks,
