Re: A Dream Awakened by impaired 12-Sep-02/7:36 PM
Impaired, if couples could have relationships like this, there'd be no divorce.
Re: a comment on Mermaid at Dawn by <~> 12-Sep-02/7:27 PM
What do you know, Zzin, I don't like PAKI, either. 'Twas brillig...' My son can recite that entire poem by heart, scary. And...I'm not mad at you, PAKI; your very common brand of empty vitriol simply doesn't rate or raise a rankle with me, and thus, is beneath my contempt.
Re: Like and Unlike by Christof 12-Sep-02/7:14 PM
I like your poetry, Christof. Not sure I understand 'unknown dully', though. How about 'as a moth's wing'? I think of a butterfly's wing as being colourful, not mottled. I reread your poems, dood.
Re: a comment on Reflected, Dreamed by Frass 12-Sep-02/9:03 AM
I like you, royalflesh.
Re: a comment on Gone Away by Christof 12-Sep-02/9:00 AM
My good friend, Christof, you misunderstood my earlier comment. Didn't you have the word 'portentious' in here, earlier. I was simply asking if that word in the poem was supposed to be 'pretentious', instead.

Come on, Zzin, call him PAKI like the rest of us do. As to your question, I just think it could be a little shorter and tighter; will get back to a quality edit; but, now it's 12:53am in the Commonwealth of Virginia and I must retire.
Re: a comment on A missing puzzle piece. by trev086 11-Sep-02/9:56 PM
I prefer to refer to 'raw poetry', where even the most pathetically pedantic should be able to separate wheat from chaff.
Re: Mermaid at Dawn by <~> 11-Sep-02/9:12 PM
You do the blue poetry so well. Make every word count; you're so close.
Re: A missing puzzle piece. by trev086 11-Sep-02/9:04 PM
Thanks for writing something on this issue, Trev; you've got more guts than I do. What is the addition to our heart?
Re: Pigeons by Limness 11-Sep-02/8:59 PM
Very good poem, Lmnss. Love the alliteration and wordplay. What does 'toll the Matins' mean?
Re: a comment on 22nd Anniversary by Frass 11-Sep-02/8:39 PM
I'm glad this got your mojo working, mojo. Strongly influenced by 'Poem in October' by D. Thomas.
Re: a comment on Gone Away by Christof 11-Sep-02/11:38 AM
Do you mean 'pretentious'?
Re: a comment on Russian Roulette by <~> 9-Sep-02/10:07 PM
Ya know, PAKI, as repellent as you are, quality analysis such as this makes me like you, just a little. Keep it up and always focus on the golden triangle (1.61803, ya know.....Do ya?).
Re: a comment on Russian Roulette by <~> 9-Sep-02/9:51 PM
Having lived on three continents as an Air Force brat, I've met a lot of wild and wacky folks; guess I should still be willing to look behind the cracks of a smile, though. BTW; my band's outstanding; we open for local psychobilly ravers 'Top Dead Center' at a private party next week and perform at Ben's BBQ in Manassas Sept. 22 and Oct. 31. Come on down; you will not be bounced and will have your pick of strange people to chat with.
Re: a comment on Russian Roulette by <~> 9-Sep-02/9:43 PM
Now just hang on one cotten picken' minute; those last two weren't quite cooked...that's supposed to be 'smiles that quiver with selfdoubt'. And it does scare me; makes me question whether I've got the depth of character to absorb their pain or shame or hate or madness.
Re: My cousin's baby sitter. by Bachus 9-Sep-02/9:26 PM
Misogynistic pap.
Re: Russian Roulette by <~> 9-Sep-02/9:23 PM
The tragedy and harrowing experience reflected here saddens the reader; but, the quality of your writing provides energizing redemption. 'Crazy, maybe... but surely kind' certainly reminds me of people I've known.
Re: The Seasons, Changes by Frass 5-Sep-02/8:38 PM
You must be a Brit, Dylm/DA, like Anagram says. Is wittering like 'whinging about'? Avon is the easternmost and far flungest away from civilization outpost of sandy, sealsalty natural beauty on the simply s'wonderful Outer Banks of North Carolina. Although I won't be driving that far, I am spending the weekend in Virginia Beach, where I'll be riding the new (to me) '01 Gary Fisher Joshua F4 I just nabbed for a song this afternoon.
Re: Z higher of arts by ==Doylum 2-Sep-02/8:18 PM
Thanks for the reference, Dylm, I'll share this sextuplet limerick with my grandchildren. Although sifting through your emissions on this site to find something mildly diverting is akin to groping around at midnight in a shit bog, I do like the first two lines of the fourth limerick which end with beauty and cutie.
Re: Hypocrites by PawnedTidal 1-Sep-02/8:31 PM
Who are these savage, hypocrital betrayers? My interest is peaked; tell me.
