Re: Before The Sun by <{Baba^Yaga}> 19-Jan-03/10:44 PM
Every time, I read it I think it's about me....and I guess that's what poetry is about....but since you claim it is not...instead of a 10...here's a 9.
Re: Bacchus and the Ivy by <{Baba^Yaga}> 19-Jan-03/10:42 PM
I like this alot especially the chorus, but you knew that already. The song is quite nice. Hmmmmmm....someone gave you a one...shame really....here's a 9.
Re: Dear Ms. Sexton by <{Baba^Yaga}> 19-Jan-03/10:37 PM
Do you have this recorded? I think this poem went crash, boom, bam as well. It's average...a bit cheezy too...5
Re: First, you gotta bend over.. by Bachus 19-Jan-03/10:06 PM
DA in his Lazy Boy...nude and oiled....Hahaaaaaa....I can just imagine it an overweight Physics grad student from Cambridge...spitting out Physics theory as he rocks in the Lazy Boy back and forth. This should be the official Poemranker anthem...7
Re: Mobile home agenda by Bachus 19-Jan-03/9:58 PM
Put a bandana on the dog....hahhaaaaaa...poor dog is now officially knighted a St. Monica Prince....all the beautiful fags at the gym wear bandanas...back to your poem.....
I like it because it's simple. In most of your other work you seem to layer way too much. Your poems are unraveled by people like z and perhaps da, but they are not accessible to the masses...and ultimately don't you want your poetry to speak to people? Yes...9
Re: Of the opposition. Zipcode graffitti by Bachus 19-Jan-03/9:46 PM
Okay, I read this twice, and I don't really get it...but then again when you use phrases such as Sprachenpuante of emorraggia....I have to now go and look it up...damn...this is turning out to be way too educational....when you were writing this did you see yourself as actually rhyming out loud? Yes, Eminem meets Al Sharp. Intresting, indeed...I shall read it again tomorrow. Maybe a few hours of sleep would give me more brain power.and then I'll vote..controparti?
Re: The postman just walked in, no ring was heard. by Bachus 19-Jan-03/9:32 PM
so John is you, correct? Yes, poor bastard.
Re: Tom & Jerry by Bachus 19-Jan-03/9:28 PM
I'm not getting the connection bn. the last line and the other two...Eyes bigger than mouth? It follows....5/7/5 and I love Tom and Jerry...6
Re: An ode to my sugar daddy, but in haiku by horus8 19-Jan-03/9:18 PM
at least you're truthful...but no Aspen or gym membership...more like $80....for being honest here is a 7. But if you need a gym membership I can perhaps give you one...perhaps.
Re: The plains of Africa by horus8 19-Jan-03/9:06 PM
Intresting piece indeed, a bit too long but intresting nevertheless. Wasn't it you that said we should only write from experience? So, are you saying that watching the Discover Channel is like actually going to Africa and observing the animals?
Re: Hewed by horus8 19-Jan-03/9:00 PM
My favorite by far....we have the mom, the dad, and me? How did I earn the honor of being one of the people that turned you into Hamlet...and yes you're the common denominator. Here's an 8.
Re: he was scared. by blurryphotograph 19-Jan-03/8:48 PM
I especially enjoyed the ending.
Re: Drowning in Me by scitz 19-Jan-03/4:28 PM
dendritic, doppelganger...going to my dictionary....must you use Webster on me? Other than that a fine capture of raw emotion...9
Re: **The Therapist** by scitz 19-Jan-03/4:25 PM
But the question is did you take advantage of the black leather couch? When you're paying $120/hr...might as well. Your poem right on...from personal experience.
Re: 'Fucky Fucky 5 Dollar' by scitz 19-Jan-03/4:15 PM
Another masterpiece! The Ramada Hotel, an Indian owned establishment, full of bugs hard to identify....the one in downtown LA is out of this world....I've never seen so many baby roaches. Did you know that a roach can survive without its head for nine days? You would've had you read "Things that make you go hmmm" There's this sheme (transvestite) that I see all the time strutting her/his stuff on Santa Monica Blvd...she looks like she might be from Hong Kong...ahhhhh...I'm getting a mental picture of her saying fucky, fucky 10 dollar me love you long time.......sorry, I tend to go on tangents at times.
Re: Women Fight Dirty by scitz 19-Jan-03/4:08 PM
Whoever gave this a 3 is a cross bn. Newt Gingrich's hair cut and the Realians' spokesperson's big forehead.....
Re: Women Fight Dirty by scitz 19-Jan-03/4:06 PM
Haaaaaaahaaaaaaaa....
If you got published, I would actually buy the book. You're fucking amazing....you nailed it.
Re: Only the lowest lows by Crakyamuni 19-Jan-03/3:34 PM
You've been reading too much of "The Art of Happiness" by his holiness the one only budamonk, Dalai Lama. For that and for being a weed wacker you get a 7. Why is there so much spacing bn. the last line? Looks and reads awkward.
Re: who? by Crakyamuni 19-Jan-03/3:27 PM
7,7,5.....I thought Haikus were to be in the form of 5,7,5 (17 syllables). Rules...who cares....I like it...8. He has been hanging out with Pee Wee Herman a bit much.
Re: 2 from 6 by INTRANSIT 18-Jan-03/2:00 PM
What the hell are you talking about? Also, turtles are not dumb. I have a friend who has one....a lovely creature named Tutu.
