Cool. ') Hey, personally I think most issues that people have are somehow derived from negative interactions from other people. But it seems then that some people like yourself appreciate criticism and thats cool. One thing to also keep in mind then is that not everyone can take it as well as you do and I believe that people with a better a understanding of things should be able to consider other less understanding people and communicate on their level. In the same vein someone will say its a its cruel world and all that but we who have some form of respect and appreciation for life have the same power than those who destroy and brings down to create and build up. My poems are about my thoughts and experiences and also my perspective of others. Above all its about God who made me and gave the ability to do is and so much more. Hey, I'll do some research on the poetry of others and Im sure I'll learn a few things. ') Thanks for the chat and cul8er. It was funny indeed but not boring at all. x

Ha! Wow--it's better than Eric Idle's updated version, even (yeah, I'm a geek and had to see how it compared to the original and otherwise). Love how you kept to the original rhyme scheme in places but utterly subverted this. I have to say--yes, I have to say it--"what a real great write." ;) Very fun. Well done.

Well, Ranger--no ringing medallions and no race results--as we rounded the first island, in big surf and winds gusting to 30mph, the marine police called the race because of conditions and sent the lot of us back. But it was great fun while it lasted, and the afterparty was great. Thanks for the encouragement--no doubt I'll write something about the experience. Lots of great kayaking in Wales, you know--some major BCU (British Canoe--Union?) centers and lots of top-class kayakers in some serious, serious water.

I see the torch has been passed . . . well, it is in the 'ranker tradition, but you'll have to work at it a bit, sweet Edna, before you'll get the accolades due a Stephen Robins, let alone a -=DA=-P.I. Still, I appreciate the effort! You left out the part about the speculum (what I like to affectionately call "The Crank") stored in ice water and the lovely queef (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaginal_flatulence) that often occurs at the end of the procedure. I'd have to take off major points for those omissions, if I were to vote, Edna.

Freud has been a called a man with "a whole climate of opinion." - WH Auden. So you have written a Freudian weather poem. Admit its inevitability. Death solves many conflicts, and our atoms mix eventually with those we hate. Best not to hate; maybe that's what you;re saying. Good poem.
