Don't you mean 'insightful'?
I've never read much Hedd Wyn. If anything, the title of my poem could refer to Glyn Jones' novel 'Times Like These'. What I have read is in translation; my grasp of Welsh isn't strong enough (yet, I am still learning) to understand poetry, or, rather, I feel I can understand the words only on a very literal level without picking up the cultural baggage they carry.
Gillian Clarke renders the final verse of 'Rhyfel' as
Like old songs they have left behind,
We have hanged our harps on the trees again.
The blood of boys is on the wind,
Their blood is mingled with the rain.
Which I suppose is a fairly good description of what appears to be the current state of the world.

since you know so much about aids and what it stands for, y dnt u do me a favour and actually look up what its doing to people. dude im not gonna say ure a fuking dikhed for riting this poem and ure sad and blah blah blah. u noe what a majority of people think of u. i just want u to look up one case study about a child losing his parents and all his family for a disease that could have been prevented by the simple use of a condom.can u tell me thats fair? man noone deserves that and i cnt belive u would rite a poem so disgraceful. when u understand, then u can rite about aids being extracted from you anal hole. i dnt noe how old u r but i thought if ure old enough to log on to the internet then u must be old enough to have some kind of understanding about reality. my final thought is for u to grow up and have some compassion and dignity next time u wanna release one of ur masterpices.
