Poetie. At 11:24 you were concerned that I might offend some unknown person whose family has been afflicted by the AIDS. By 11:26 someone in your own family had been afflicted with the AIDS. Now, either more than one person is using the 'Poetie' poemranker account, which is a crime so heinous you ought to be banned immediately, or you are simply talking bollocks. You felt that by pretending to have an AIDS sufferer in your family you could turn your mere conceited moral outrage into personal grief and sympathy. I presume you've already emailed the site owner to demand my permanent exclusion, on the grounds that at least seven of your close friends and family members have died of the AIDS in the last week, with two more due soon. Also, you will have contracted chronic diarrhoea and trapped wind, which will provide you more reasons to insincerely accuse of personal attacks. when you read this, do you rhyme "glass" with "ass" with "Lass", or "glarz" with "arz" with "Larz", or...?
If you really want to know, everything should rhyme with 'arse', which works if you have a British accent. If you can't cope with that, try a Boston accent instead. You obviously think 'Lars' should be pronounced with a 'z' sound, but that's not true. In fact, I seem to recall that indigenously it should be pronounced more like 'larsh', which suggests reading the entire poem in a Sean Connery voice.

After I read this poem and reading all of the comments I investigated for myself the origin of aids. It was actually a bacteria found in monkeys in south Africa, you wanna know how it came to America? Some sicko did a monkey in the bum, contracted the disease and then did his gay friend in the bum who then turned around and did about 25 others gay guys in the bum. Before you knew it gay people were havin sex with women durring their threesomes and gave it to them. So when the infected women did it with straight guys they got it too. All becuz some dude down in Africa got lonely and raped a monkey in the bum, now THAT is sick and disturbing. If all you people really think this is a horrible disease then you wouldnt stick up for gay people, what they do is unnatural and debase, more aids are passed between gay lovers then anyother source. I find it horrible that innocent people contract this disease and have to live with it. But that doesnt happen exponentially, what does happen alot is gay guys doing other gay guys up the bum. I cant for the life of me understand why anyone would think that homosexuality is normal, IT ISNT, waste comes out of your bum, a bum was not designed to have a wiener in it. What exactly does a penis in the bum do? Nothing! A penis goes in a vagina!!! Its that simple, you do it for making babies and populating the planet. Yours is the first comment on this poeme that I have read carefully, and without prejudice, and I'd like to take this opportunity to say that what I read chilled me to the bone. I had no idea AIDS was such a serious disease, nor that it could affect any one of us - not just homo lords or ethnics. I now realise how deeply ignorant my poeme is, and how it only serves to increase the number of people who die from AIDS. But the worst thing about this poeme isn't the fact that it makes AIDS more difficult to cure. Nor is it the fact that it makes some people laugh at AIDS against their will. It's the fact that it makes me feel guilty. For that, I thank you.

Fantastic work! It got everyone talking didn't it? And about Aids which I haven't heard talked about in the media for ages now. It made me laugh and it still does. People need to not take this so seriously and before someone writes back telling me - "how can you not take it seriously", I don't mean aids, I just mean that often humour and off-colour peices are often the best way to get things talked about. Grow up everyone! I think it's great because of the reaction and I'm giving it a 10!
That's not at all what this poem is about or for. My guess is that it's about glass safety and the desperate efforts of homos to get off by anal insertion - neither of which problems, in my opinion, receives the media attention it needs. Thanks for trying, though! And hey, welcome to poemranker!
If only we could all laugh about poems about aids a bit more I feel certain a cure will be found. It is very important we put aside the childishness of reverence and solemnity, gentlemanly ideals. Laugh about aids, our grandfathers do!
