mercy, have mercy, good woman
It's all too much
too much for me to breathe
and feast.
My belly's fit to burst
with the volume of this verse.
The troubadours and bearers of the quill
stand helpless before your beauty, bursting
from within your center, taking your fill
of the Lord's of the realm.
My hand sieves the dirt and the swill
seeking for the silver coin
that fell
on the day I pried the iron nail from my wrist,
and fell from the skull, down into the mist.
God took a bride one day
quarter past infinity
The morningstar
led the choral host
and Chronos stood
to make a toast
I need to show my love to someone
before it goes to gray
I would crucify myself for you
on a bed of hay
Some women are so easy to love.
And some men live like statuary
without the adornment of a dove,
and now these lines are getting scary.
Goodnight

excellente.
...
but your use of words such as... the "n word" and others disturbs me greatly. I'm just a repressed politically correct canuck I guess.

Chilled to perfection, like a jello shot. ? Somehow I have yet to vote on this, so I'm gonna bump it up, and bring down my own poem which is currently at #1.
Wait, let me enjoy this for a moment longer. I'm swinging straight up at the top, up where the air
is
fresh
and
clean
....yeah.
Okay here goes.

The only critique I have for your writing is the dearth of concrete imagery. Something to bite into, the juice streaming out in molten arcs.

This one's worth a quarter for certain. And I'm a cheap bastard. What the hell, here's a ten.

the story of an altarboy who wore white too long. Then one day he got gangrene and his toes rotted off, each little piggy one by one falling and collected in a basket that he keeps in the back of a cupboard. Just don't let the earwigs in. They have a knack for pinching what little memory is left.
Hmm, I see you've been around a while. But I don't think I've read any poems of yours before today. Oh here's a Ten --> 10.

This is what happens when I'm away from this site for a month.

nice minimalist piece ** I've been away far too long ** and anarchy has descended on rancid mustard wings **
also, I'm getting published ** hooray, I am semi-semi-professional **

I saw an amazing movie last night.: "Frida". Ah, Salma baby, I don't know wether to salute or cry. Or both.
Hey do you ever stop writing? Didn't think so. Is okay if I tape this to my bathroom mirror and repeat it to myself every morning?

Top 5 poets? The lad's got sand. And who would the remainder be, out of curiousity?
