Rich with wisdom indeed! Nature only wants you to replenish its wonders. Too bad everyone doesn't see it this way. One of my favs for sure!

Re: Pause by Nepanthe 26-Sep-08/5:27 PM
This is interesting...I just wrote a poem about a message in a bottle. This is the first I viewed your poem.
Have you ever looked in the eyes of our elderly? It is amazing what you can see. Perhaps we all should pause...and say "Hello in there" (a quote from John Prine's song called, "Hello in There")

Great poem... :) Bethy

Re: Rails to Trails by Dovina 29-Sep-08/10:20 AM
Oh what now does our future hold? When we look into the eyes of the old, our parents knew and now us, not then...will we find out...who, what and when? (something from an old poem I wrote)
This is perfectly wonderful Dovina.

Re: Beauty? by Celticai 2-Oct-08/4:44 AM
The truth about life in the (game)name of beauty. Beauty in is the garden surrounded by potatoes, string beans, corn and flowers. Beauty is deeper than the ground in earth on your skin when you grow things to feed your children. Beauty is inspiring, living in the moment, playing in the leaves, and having chicken nuggets and kraft dinner by candle light with your son and daughter. Beauty is when you read a poem and know that there is hope, happiness, sadness, reality and you feel what the author has written. So, you hold on to that and know there is beauty in their soul. You are an amazing writer. You inspire me. Bethy :)
Re: unheeded by Skamper 2-Oct-08/5:02 AM
My father threw a glass of water at me threw my bedroom window while I was enjoying a smoke with my dearest friend. He was a fireman at one time in his life. So, at the supper table that night, my mom got home from work, ask my father how his day was, and his reply is as follows, "I put a fire out in Bethy's bedroom today. I think she and Edna will be fine, I think they were scared though, thank god I was home at the time." lol
