Re: a comment on fever by <~> 1-Apr-03/7:35 AM
I expect I'll persuade the wife to come along!
Re: The Adulterous by Caducus 1-Apr-03/7:35 AM
Does that mean I'm free to covet my neighbour's ass? Even though it looks terrible in those polyester slacks?
Re: Worst Haiku Ever by maffy 1-Apr-03/7:32 AM
No, this is the worst haiku ever:

Hunky chunky monk
Meets tiny spiny pony
Spunky chinese punk.
Re: A comment for Me (Aj) from a hottie by ChunkyHunkyMonkey 1-Apr-03/7:30 AM
You should write for Dawson's Creek
Re: ForMyFriend, Joneel by Luv2write 1-Apr-03/7:27 AM
I think this might be better off just being sent to Joneel
Re: a comment on fever by <~> 1-Apr-03/7:25 AM
Bring on the London convergence! I'm at a wedding on the Friday, but the rest of the weekend looks free as a bird.
Re: On coming across a field of deer one afternoon (2) by <~> 1-Apr-03/7:17 AM
Great rhythm in the last two lines, and assonance to back it up. And the ten tails are perkily descriptive. Wowzers.
Re: THE POEMRANKER SEXCHART VERSION 1.2 FINAL by TanHand 1-Apr-03/7:15 AM
I am disappointed that I don't appear. This can't be right.
Re: prettycock by kthulah 1-Apr-03/7:11 AM
Well done, Mr Prettycock, you obviously know how to keep a lady happy. I can't wait until I'm 40+ and have a webcam.
Re: fever by <~> 1-Apr-03/7:09 AM
April is the cruellest month, and all that... now is the time when dangerous things can happen. Watch out!
Re: Offence by Stephen Robins 1-Apr-03/7:07 AM
I wept.
Re: Charles and Eddie by Nicholas Jones 21-Feb-03/5:16 AM
So this isn't a biogrpahy of the famous one-hit-wonder singing duo (as you omit the sad demise of c or E - can't remember which, I reckon it isn't). I like the different voices of the two the same situations seen from different points of view.
Re: The last day of an old year by poetandknowit 21-Feb-03/5:12 AM
I like the gentle humour of this, the contrast of poet and girls, the reforming drinker and the innocent daughters of the church. This one's rhythms sneak into you subtly without even trying. Top stuff.
Re: Weekend at the Taj by <~> 19-Feb-03/9:58 AM
The villanelle, what a lovely form, and so wittily used. Is Atlantic city a good place to end up ensnowed? I have no idea.
Re: a comment on The Thought Of It by Christof 14-Feb-03/8:13 AM
So when you coming out to London then? Zzin mentioned something a while ago. Really glad you like this poem. It's my personal favourite.
Re: a comment on Instructions to a Sculptor by Christof 14-Feb-03/8:05 AM
My God, this is all so flattering. Thank you everybody who's liked my poem so much and commented on it. It truly did come out of nowhere in about ten minutes and so, in answer to your question Ranger, I can't really say if anyone in particular influenced this. My poetic heroes are Edward Thomas, Simon Armitage, Robert Frost, Wordsworth, Eliot, Michael Donaghy, for what that's worth. But thanks once again for your appreciation and praise.
Re: a comment on Instructions to a Sculptor by Christof 20-Jan-03/8:28 AM
Interesting... maybe you should just take the word 'truth' at face value here!
Re: The yellow rose of California by INTRANSIT 2-Jan-03/3:55 AM
Hey Intransit, how's it going? I
ve been out of circulation for a while due to losing my job etc etc and having no computer - I'm reduced to using an Internet cafe. But glad to see you're continuing your quest for truth'n'beauty and all that. Keep it coming.
Re: a comment on Some Things by Christof 2-Jan-03/3:52 AM
You're right, I do. I'll have to start using it less. Thanks for pointing it out!
Re: The Day the Winter Muse Fighters of the World Came By by <~> 30-Dec-02/3:47 AM
This is crazed and funny. I don't know what a Winter Muse Fighter might look like, but they sound sneaky and unreliable.
