Hi wilco, I haven't seen you around much. Probably it's because I too have't been so possessed by this site lately. This is a good piece, and if you say it's country then it definitely fits. I can't imagine putting rock or reggae into it as I have a strong aversion for the two. You definitely have a knack for writing lyrics. Hats off to you.

A little more content, your quote unquote poems do seem more on the demented side like you have big issues with people leaving you and you want to kill them.........thats what i get from this

I've begun to notice that everyone else on here puts a lot more time and effort into their poems than I do(I usually spend an hour/poem), and I don't think it's fair to ask your advice on something I haven't really worked on myself. The stuff I write is just crap, I mean take this poem: how pathetic is my imagry...did you even know I was attemping to have some imagry?-It's that bad. You guys all write some amazing poetry, and I'm sorry for asking you all to do my work for me.
I will now pledge to work harder on my writing, although I have little time with classes, so that I can produce work that is of substance. I thank you all for being so kind and generous with your advice.

I completely agree, there's nothing special about this poem...I've begun to notice that everyone else on here puts a lot more time into their poems than I do(I usually spend an hour), and I don't think it's fair to ask your advice on something I haven't really worked on myself. The stuff I write is just crap, I mean take this poem: how pathetic is my imagry...did you even know I was attemping to have some imagry?-It's that bad. Yes, that is part of what I am saying. I take it a bit further, though, and say if all our wishes were made reality we'd find existance boring and intolerable.

The last two lines are excellent. I have to think about the rest. What's 'kindling homes'?

The stories are interesting. I can't believe that any little league would allow such retarded names for teams. If you made these up, make up better ones. If you didn't make these up, than you should make up better ones. Right now this is just a little too cumbersome. I like the authenticity of the voice. It reads as if you are speaking directly to me and that's good. Maybe you can think about seperating these memories. Let each stand alone. Even if it's just with roman numerals or something. I don't really like the one about the optometrist visits. it makes you a less sympathetic character.
The title's good. you shouldn't annotate at the end. It's better to finish with a compelling image or statement. For example; 'for the first time in a long time I saw my father.'
Maybe you should be writing a screenplay. Actors love playing tormented characters. Blindness makes for good analogies.
One question, how do you use a computer?

A life without fear is possible without eloping with some fantasy. But in saying that I define fear as mental distress concerning unpleasant posibilities such as dying or losing health or money.

Lines 7 and 8 are quotes, and I agree with alchemy â they should be in ââ.
Religion is interesting and wistful and nostalgic. To many people, itâs even important.
