Re: why should i by kaykat 22-Jan-03/7:24 PM
Good.
Re: unspoken words by sweetmisery 22-Jan-03/7:25 PM
That's very nice. But where on EARTH did you get the idea that we're a group of psychologists? Or that even thoguh we're not psychologists, we would care?
Re: 9/11 tribute by Caducus 23-Jan-03/10:54 AM
Well, it IS the closest thing to a not bad poeme written about that day I've yet read. Loose the angels and Osama's beard. 'Buried alive in mortar cots of crimson' is good, but how can it qualify as a 'slaughter' of innocent children when so few were killed?
Re: SEX by blkarak 24-Jan-03/5:13 AM
Somebody's been watching a bit too much porn. 'Unscathed boudoir' is dreadfully out of place.

Oh wow! That's so funny! Really it is!

Last two stanzas are good. The first two, as I believe you've doubtless realised, are shite.
Re: a poet in the city by Bill Z Bub 30-Jan-03/10:58 AM
Amusing, but I confess myself a tad dissapointing that's it's not the spoof of the old hippy song the title leads one to expect. You know -- 'Where have all the poets gone, long time passing, Where have all the poets gone, long times ago?...'
Re: Thursday by w~* ATHENA *~w 31-Jan-03/6:58 AM
This is without a doubt the most appalling piece of crap I've seen on this site since... since...

Well, since Tuesday, I guess. No, more like Wednesday.
Re: The Sadistic Mirth by Freethinker1602 31-Jan-03/7:22 AM
Yawn.
Re: Amelioration is only relative by Freethinker1602 31-Jan-03/7:23 AM
Oh, stop whining.
Re: Equality by Freethinker1602 31-Jan-03/7:25 AM
Do you know, I think this may be one of the funniest poemes to be found here. Keep it up!
Re: Bliss Eternal by Freethinker1602 31-Jan-03/7:30 AM
Lose the damn explaining paragraph. No one gives a damn, sweetheart.
Re: recent submissions by <~> 1-Feb-03/8:47 PM
Mwahahahahahaha. I know I've read this before, but I can't believe I didn't vote on it. Cheers!
Re: drum circle by <~> 1-Feb-03/8:48 PM
Hmmm. I never thought I'd end up using this comment on someone, but it seems to be trying too hard. Lovely, though.
Re: Secret, Admirer by <~> 1-Feb-03/8:57 PM
'pizzicato slurs...' Damnright brilliant. Slurred pizzicati... DAMN but that's a great image.
Re: Three Daughters by <~> 1-Feb-03/9:00 PM
That's really quite gorgeous. Or maybe it's jsut that I'm a sucker for that sort of story. Saying that something isn't a poem because it's a story is ridiculous -- among other things, it means that the Divine Comedy isn't poetry. And you use archaic words, which is also good. Full cheers, dammit.
Re: Because The Ground Is Still Frozen by razorgrin 2-Feb-03/6:01 PM
Dammit, that title. Argh. That would make such a wonderful stretto. And I can't use it because I'd be stealing it. Erg.

Oh, and tell Limonade I'm sorry about the hamster. Really I am.

Oh, this lovely thing again. For some reason whenever you post a revised version of a poem I almost always feel I preferred the original. In this case, the 'Rosebud roseblood rosewater' -- which is damn right gorgeous. Has that part changed since you put it up?

The end of civilisation is nigh. I name you the prophet of this death. May Shakespeare have mercy on us when he, Marlowe, Poe and Nabokov are resurrected and come to judge us all. I'd almost prefer to go read some Atwood. Or Joe Blades. Or some such shite.
Re: Love Under Will by Tyriana 5-Feb-03/1:26 PM
Brava... that's rather magnificent. The third stanza seems a bit weak, howe'er.
