That doesn't answer my question at all. You've simply replaced the phrase "I believe in my heart" with "I have faith (and trust) in".
Look at this: Nobody's asking you to *know for sure*. I just want to know whether "having faith that X" *is a reason* for believing that X is true. Not a proof that 'X' is true. Do you or don't you think that having faith that X is a reason (not necessarily an overpowering reason; it's enough that it provides SOME reason) to believe that 'X' is true?

what...I can't understand this...too many...ellipses...
Look. You may well "feel" that what the Bible says is true, but that is no basis for *asserting* that it's true. If you say that what the Bible says is true, it follows that you say that part of what the Koran says is not true, since some of what the Bible says contradicts some of what the Koran says. But people who say that all of what the Koran says is true feel it is true just as much as you feel that what the Bible says is true. You can't both be right, so either you're wrong, they're wrong, or you're both wrong.
It seems hard to argue for either of the first two cases, since by your admission the *only* thing we have to go on in this case is what people "feel" is true, and neither side has an advantage in this respect. For lack of evidence, then, I can only conclude that you're both wrong.
Replying to this by saying "I don't care if it's logical or not; I just believe in my heart that it's true" will not make sense. Unless, that is, you are not only using a magical, vague notion of "believe" but also a magical, vague notion of "is true".
I would like a definition of what it is to believe 'X' in one's heart. As far as I can tell this is just another way of saying you "feel" that 'X' is true. If so, I would like an explanation of how "feeling" that 'X' is true is different from "believing" that 'X' is true. I would also like to hear what you mean by "is true". My necessary and sufficient conditions are: 'X' is true if and only if X. Please tell me your necessary and sufficient conditions for proposition 'X' to be true.

No, I don't agree. 'Dead Boy' is about as far from 'Gothic' as you can get. To illustrate the difference, I have rewritten it in a 'Gothic' style. You might want to check it out!!!!!!!1

I don't know where you're from, Sir, unless it's Canada. But here in mighty England, having a penchant for Red Dwarf isn't considered a sign of 'culture', but rather of 'being a fucknose'.

Yes. Yes. Peasants are important too, aren't they?
This is socialism: "Look at those people. They're wealthy and splendid. They have butlers. Look at me. I have straw in my hair and dung in my slippers. I've got a great idea! Let's make everyone's life as shitty as mine! Then at least it's fair!"
Nice one!!

I'll tell you, Sir, why the 'bible is telling the truth'! The Bible is telling the truth, because if you don't believe it is telling the truth, YOU WILL GO TO HELL. Perhaps if you were a Gentleman, you wouldn't ask such impertinent questions! I daresay you owe Jesu an apology.
And as for the point you are trying to make, think on this:
The point I am trying to make, is that the point you are trying to make is gay. Why you find it desirable to hold beliefs that clearly have a significant impact on your life, and yet have absolutely no justification whatsoever, is beyond me. That is because I am a Gentleman. And you, Sir, are a cad. Good day.

I can prove there is a God: it says so in the Bible. His name is Jesu. Praise be to God! Holy! Holy! Holy!
I think the REAL question here is "Can you prove that there isn't a Giant Cybernetic Prawne floating outside the Universe?" No. You can't. So I'll thank you not to scorn my belief that there is. Don't you see that your belief is just as ridiculous as mine?
Think on this:
"I wish to propose for the reader's favourable consideration a doctrine which may, I fear, appear wildly paradoxical and subversive. The doctrine in question is this: that it is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true." -- Bertrand Russell

If you're trying to make me see the error of my ways by presenting a "shocking" situation, it isn't working. I am not shocked, offended or intimidated by the idea of forced homosexual sex. Clearly I wouldn't enjoy it, but it's still natural and beautiful. P.S. My address is in my profile. P.P.S. You can't 'bugger' someone's mouth.
