My God. Metaphor AND reification?!?!?! What will you think of next??
Re: Where are you Eric? by Eric Johnson 9-Jul-02/3:00 PM
I ask you: Is it your own God who causes your lines to stretch across the screen for several miles? O Cruel Jesu, I swear I didn't know it was the reserved plunger!
Re: AIDS in a Glass by -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. 9-Jul-02/11:36 PM
AIDS is never funny. I'll thank you not to speak of such a serious issue in such casual tones. Good day.

I don't get it man. Surely worthless peasants shall be deemed unfit to partake of the crusts of the elders?

I'll thank you not to describe your revolting pornographic video rental habit on poemeranker. 'tis wickedness.
Re: Song of Spring by meror 10-Jul-02/4:34 AM

I'm afraid that was not Jesu's plan. Only believers in Jesu may enter the gates of paradise. Clearly one so small would not yet have the mental capacity to make such a decision. I'm afraid that Jesu's plan was to send the child unto hell. Afterall, if God wanted him in heaven so soon, why bother sending him to the mortal worlde at all? Great poeme!
Re: life by -=??lilaznjen??=- 10-Jul-02/4:52 AM
and torture isn't bad? you're glad that life is torture? methinks you just wrote some meaningless drivel that happened to rhyme. I'm afraid you can't be top of the class today my child. However, you may be bottom. Take this dunce cap and go stand in the corner. Turn around. We don't want to see your face.
Re: The Lost Laugh by Roisin 10-Jul-02/4:58 AM
I can relate to this poeme. I too felt immortal when I effortlessly broke wind.
Re: Uninformed, pseudo-philosophical thoughts about existence by -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. 10-Jul-02/5:51 AM
No. Yes.

Besides, the only horse who can shoot a gun is that freak from Bravestar, and he is both gay and fictional.

Do you really think your token concern is going to help anyone? Is it going to cure any ill persons? No. It is not. If you feel so strongly about such issues, I suggest you stop wasting your time complaining about my wonderful poeme and start doing something useful like praying for them. Good day.

What an interesting, thought-provoking piece! I predict that this poem will do more to solve the problem of homelessness in 2002 than all other efforts combined!
Re: Dear Dad by liquidlama 10-Jul-02/9:30 AM
My guess would be 'incredibly wide'.
Re: Glass by Shar 10-Jul-02/9:34 AM
I should have known the potentially interesting expression of the shock of thinking about temporal antirealism was too good to be true. As these things always do, it degraded into a pointless, vague expression of 'love'.

You know when a poem starts 'So hollow' that it's going to be an absolute load of shite.
Re: My Heart Has Trembled by TomKWS 10-Jul-02/9:36 AM
I can't work out whether the last line is supposed to refer to impotence or not.
Re: guilty mind by Angel_of_fait 10-Jul-02/3:08 PM
Another classic piece from Angel_of_fait. You know, judging by the quality of your work, I'd say you've won some awards for your poemes! The standard of your English is top-notch! It doesn't at all suggest that you are virtually illiterate. Keep up the good work!
Re: 9/11 by TheDevil 10-Jul-02/3:19 PM
This Haiku chilled me to the bum. In light of recent events in the U.S of A, I find such remarks to be most inappropriate. What you need is a good ol' dose of American self-esteem.
Re: trapoide by Angel_of_fait 10-Jul-02/3:26 PM
I hope, Angel_of_fait, that you weren't trying to pun 'fatality' with 'fate', since they are FROM THE SAME ROOT ANYWAY. However, I think the chance that you were attempting that pun is 1.14%, while the chance that you just have no idea what you're typing half the time is 98.85%. The remaining 0.01% is the chance that you are an inspired troll, far above the rest of us in the hierarchy of irony.
