Glass (Free verse) by Shar
There is no future And in knowing this I cannot express myself with words For fear of shattering the glass of the present But I know I ache with knowing I only ask That you hold the glass gently And bear the weight of my silent need To drink forever From our cup

Up the ladder: pull
Down the ladder: I am the gayest

Hi Shar, I thnk the glass metaphor needs to begin in the first two lines to work. Mark

pretty. :) I agree with Mark, though. [kaolin] I think I'd like to see it a little longer, perhaps to feel fragility more encompassing of the moment... then again maybe its shortness is its fragility...

I should have known the potentially interesting expression of the shock of thinking about temporal antirealism was too good to be true. As these things always do, it degraded into a pointless, vague expression of 'love'.
