The footnote is aside
Re: a comment on The Mirror by TLRufener 23-Feb-06/11:44 AM
I wrote this poem angered by mother once again ruining my weekend plans. The reflection is a metaphore for her always being there critisizing me.
Re: a comment on Never Let Go Again by TLRufener 22-Dec-05/7:44 AM
You don't have to give a damn. This poem isn't meant for you or so you'll care.
Re: a comment on Lost Identity by TLRufener 16-Dec-05/4:55 PM
I wrote this poem about a year ago to a magazine editor that was trying to change my style to what they wanted. This can be directed at you, if you wish it, or it can be directed to any critic in the literary world.
Re: a comment on The Legend of the Crow by TLRufener 12-Dec-05/4:37 PM
I'm sorry for borrowing a great idea. I wrote this about five years ago for a fanfiction site, and I just wanted opinions on the writing of it.
Re: a comment on Rub You Out by TLRufener 9-Dec-05/8:15 AM
I'm actually glad for all the criticism. The last few poems that I posted were written about three years ago, and it's nice to hear what people have to say I should change about how I write.
Re: a comment on Until the Façade Comes Down by TLRufener 4-Dec-05/11:13 AM
I read every comment that I receive, and I save the good ones in my "Improvement List" on my computer. I like to read them just to see if my new work fits what I have been asked to do. Sometimes it does fit, sometimes it doesn't.
Re: a comment on One Second by TLRufener 22-Nov-05/5:31 PM
I deleted them because you all were arguing with each other about something that had nothing to do with the poem.
Re: a comment on Prejudice and Racism by TLRufener 21-Nov-05/4:56 PM
Sometimes we can overcome the expected and create acceptance.
Re: a comment on Prejudice and Racism by TLRufener 21-Nov-05/1:06 PM
Children are not born racist; they have to learn it. Since most of them are taught racism, by the time they grow up it doesn't go away.
Re: a comment on The Gate of Heaven by TLRufener 16-Nov-05/8:55 PM
I just wrote to let you know I was, in fact, a woman; since you refered to me as 'he' and 'him.'
Re: a comment on The Gate of Heaven by TLRufener 16-Nov-05/3:21 PM
I am Woman. Hear me Roar.
Re: a comment on When Did You Walk Away? by TLRufener 16-Nov-05/11:24 AM
I write my poems to help myself come to terms with feelings that I have. Many of my poems have stories behind them and out of context, they don't make sense. I just look for opinions on the writing and possible meanings to find a different way to look at them.
Re: a comment on When Did You Walk Away? by TLRufener 16-Nov-05/6:00 AM
Not everything has an answer, and sometimes the answers to questions we ask now won't surface until later in life.
Re: a comment on When Did You Walk Away? by TLRufener 15-Nov-05/8:22 PM
When the comments no longer pertain to the piece, and all the commenters are doing is fighting with each other, I feel that they can be deleted.
Re: a comment on The Gate of Heaven by TLRufener 14-Nov-05/5:53 PM
No, not really.
Re: a comment on The Gate of Heaven by TLRufener 14-Nov-05/5:44 PM
I was young and unexperienced. I didn't know then how to carry loss gracefully.
Re: a comment on The Gate of Heaven by TLRufener 14-Nov-05/5:35 PM
It wasn't the goal. I wrote this poem after a friend of mine died. I was very depressed, and this piece was my way of telling myself even though she was gone, I still had work to do.
Re: a comment on The Gate of Heaven by TLRufener 14-Nov-05/5:25 PM
I wrote this a long time ago, when I still half-way believe in Christianity. That was about 12 years ago.
Re: a comment on Tonight’s Halloween by TLRufener 13-Oct-05/4:29 PM
Thank you.
