on some deleted poem

Superb! This poem sparkles in its melodies. I think you've just sugar-coated my dreams because I'll surely be singing this in my sleep.

I found most of this rather charming and pleasant and was completely blown away by the sixth, seventh and eight stanzas. I love when I can be pulled into a moment of a poem and remain feeling effected by it even after I've finished reading it.

A wonderful friendship goes a long way no matter how near or far, no matter who you are.
Good heavens. I had no idea the Lord made so many grammatical errors when He spoke. Then again, English is his second language.

deeply moving and so romantic, very well deserving of a 10
Very good. Take another look at a few lines:
without mutual opportunity
Nor before-ten-years you - commas
Nor the stars of your looks - "looks" is too plain.
catacomb - catacomb mask
I had trouble separating the three characters. Aparently, your friend is sipping the drink of "her." Maybe he's an alcoholic drinking her booz, or in love with her. He feeds off your emotions, which I don't get. Aparently you are about to commit suicied by drowning. Or have I got it all wrong?
Verse 1 is good and sets a platform for a good lyrical story.
Verse 2 only hints, it adds nothing to the story.
Verse 3 does not build on Verses 1 and 2, but opens a new direction. Now we have two stories begun.
Is English your first language?
There seems no obvious reason for such short couplets here. The poem would benefit from having more solid chunks. Also 'already tell their tale' and other parts seem far too portentious. That is to say you are making the moth's death more significant than it is.
No, you can not just write down a sum, burble on about love, hate, fear and then make some guff conclusion. Your poem about converse blah blah had potential if it didn't lose its focus and conclude all manner of things. The idea of a maths poem is ok. But this is far too lazy. The last verse is cool.
'What use is a thought that cannot be tasted?' come on surely you know the answer to that.
