Wow, that was beautiful. There are so many good lines, and very good rhythem! I related to the third stanza the most, very nice. I wish I could offer some advice, but I suppose it would just be to write more!

I'll give it to you that this is a step in the right direction as it is not a traditional subject matter. However, your lyrics are still boring and say nothing profound.
Re: Something More by drnick 11-Aug-06/8:17 AM
fuck, it should say "you need to lose.", not "you need to loose."
Re: Suicide Dream by Ranger 26-Jul-06/9:55 AM
I really love the image you've created with this one. So dark and eerie, which happens to be my favorite scene. I don't know how you do it, but you do it again and again. I'd like to read that short story if you ever do write it.
Re: a comment on Get Over It by drnick 20-Jul-06/8:00 AM
Interesting that you assume I'm speaking of a girl. While it may seem that way, with the way "emo" kids look, I think it could be interpreted either way. I was assuming the role of the emo person who has the hair you speak of. Perhaps if I disconnected the last two lines it would be more apparent?

This is about drugs, and being on them.

Re: a comment on I hate making titles by drnick 14-Jul-06/12:01 PM
Ya, it would have been better had I done that. This was just something I whipped together in class, and I liked how simple and short it was. I do need a title(sigh).

Re: a comment on Genesis by Dovina 14-Apr-06/10:56 AM
As do I respect the belief in a "God" as it once was my position. I just find it all too convienient in a universe that is anything but. As history points out, religions have often replaced scientific explanation when there was a void to be filled. As our scientific understanding of the universe has increase, religion's effect on every-day occurances has shrank to merely explaining the creation of the universe, and what happens after death. The first, will eventually be explained in solid scientific theory. However, the latter will prove to be something that no theory or person can explain unless, of course, people come back from the dead. I hope that doesn't happen, as I imagine they would be quite cranky. I must admit that when somone posts on here something religious I tend to become irritated as I feel as though a religion is being pushed on to me. One might defend themselves as voicing their joyous faith, but to me it seems more like an insecure cry for approval and support. Based on your arguments, however, I don't think this applies to you. I suppose it comes down to that the people who need religion believe, and those who don't are comfortable with this life being thier only existance.
Re: a comment on Genesis by Dovina 12-Apr-06/2:09 PM
I think we should base a religion off of it. Your speculation is just as good as any other's speculation, which is all we can have for this mysterious "God" fellow. I wouldn't say we are "stuck with Him" since he has tried very hard to leave no evidence of "His" existance anywhere.
Re: Random Design by thepinkbunnyofdoom 12-Apr-06/10:56 AM
I agree with what has already been said, and I'd like to add that at the end of the 7th stanza, you should cut the last line: "Only it's not" as that is implied when you say "like a dream." I like the last stanza the most, very nice.
Re: Genesis by Dovina 12-Apr-06/10:49 AM
Sounds like a book of lies used to control the masses and explain what feble minds cannot comprehend that I once read. God sounds like an egotistical bastard, what makes Him so God damn perfect? I like it.
