"fractious day" reminds me of Jabberwocky.
"Slip sibilant over the fields" doesn't really make sense but "Slip over the sibilant fields" would.
The whole poem makes me think of the death scene at the end of Gladiator.

Monsters rule would be a good title too. I just think really short poems like this often appear pretentious with a title.

I am flattered, thank you. I have always thought of myself as no more a poet than a leaf is a tree. It took me twice as long to get where you are now. You're way ahead of the game Ranger.

If true whites aren't a race than how can blacks be?

Rice is not black. It's brown or white and eaten by those Commie ching chongs. As far as colored people go the only correct way to refer to them is "colored" as all people are quite colorful. Except of course albinos but does anyone lynch albinos? Noooooo, there just soooo special aren't they? I say string those damn albinos up before they take away our jobs and impregnate our daughters. All in favor say AYE.

Kipling's "If" for bikers?
Hey you left out:
Don't let having a testicle removed stop you,
it might even be a more comfortable ride.
In honor of Lance Armstrong of course.

So far I see no poems by this "Freind" of yours although he might have once went under the name "Adriaan". If that's the case then Adriaan has only 5 free verse poems, the rest are hiakus and senryus or whatever the hell they're called and none of the poems seem very original to me at all. It's funny how much people nut in their skibbies over the word "poetry" like it's the holy grail of verbal expression. Any one how describes poetry as being all about emotions and getting the point across (like that's not the point of prose too) has been stroking their mandolin too long. Poetry is using sound and sometimes visual effects to enhance the experience of written word. Just because you're emotional and you have a point to make it doesn't mean you're a poet.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rumsfeld sharing a cell with him seeing that he's the one most accountable for the unexpectedly large losses of US soldiers. That man couldn't plan a pillow fight.

No, my question was how come no one seems to point out that we're there for the same reason Rome, England, and Russia were there to name a few, because the middle east is the trading post of the world. It's the center of three major religions. If you control the middle east almost everyone has to deal with you at some point. If you really want peace in the middle east then pray all these radical religious murderous groups are squashed into oblivion. Maybe then the real civilized people of the middle east can reign and peoples life expectancy will go into the retirement age. Can Bush just come out and say we're also there to block off China and Russia and monitor everything that passes through the middle east because we want to be in control of the global economy? No, of course he can't say that. That might cause WWIII. Remember, you wouldn't be living where you're living if it wasn't for one civilisation invading another and taking control of the place. I'm not reading much about the radical atrocities in Africa or Asia so why is that?. Maybe is it because Bush hasn't taken part in any of it yet? Maybe it is.
