Quatrain (Other) by ALChemy
Babies are born from the bowels of beauty and monsters are born from the minds of men. So if all men come up from babies are not monsters beauty's kin?

A novel way of putting forth an old truth. Thought provoking. Try a less bland title, like Beauty’s Kin, Son of Beauty, even the cliché - Beauty and the Beast.

I wasn't going to post it but then some voice spoke to me like that of a goddess.

i think no title is best on this.

Yes indeed they are, which is why all the shit on this site has to be considered as 'poetry', whereas the title of 'poet' should rightfully be yours.

I am flattered, thank you. I have always thought of myself as no more a poet than a leaf is a tree. It took me twice as long to get where you are now. You're way ahead of the game Ranger.

I've learned from the best that poemranker has to offer, although there's still a long way to go. I'm following your lead, really. I mean, I've seen the way your poetry has improved since your early posts - in the same way that mine has too (my early posts were far worse though ;-)). Your writing deserves maximum respect from anyone worth their while.

Do not change the title to Beauty and the Beast. A title is not something to fret over (in my mind). Anywho, I really like this - a unique thought in a world of mindless echos. Monsters rule.

Monsters rule would be a good title too. I just think really short poems like this often appear pretentious with a title.

Good to see you made it out of the mine tunnel. Could have sworn I saw you at Carowinds a few weeks ago.

hmmm.

lose the "so" in line 3. it just doesn't work somehow.

i like where this goes, and it opens a host of discussion points about humanity, good and evil, etc. maybe the last word should be "sin", and then we can really throw some fuel on the fire, eh?

its pretty good, i like it, if you could find something beside men on the line that reads, "and monsters are born from minds of men." maybe male.
