A female-sounding thing, come from a ranker witch, amazing.

Punctuation is not consistent. Capitals at line starts are not consistent. Last line is confusing.

The news you refer to is surely the election of Bush. The Stockholm Syndrome describes kidnap victims who accept their captors. The death of Godzilla then must mean the rejection (death) of Kerry. I, too, voted for Kerry, but I never felt captured by him. Was it really that strong an attraction? There’s something I’m not getting. No vote yet.
Re: Perfect Time of Year by wilco 4-Nov-04/3:13 PM
Fall IS the perfect time of year in Tennessee, but to say that it is different, if not for lack of change, brings up images of good ol' boys, a holler an' 'shine.
Re: 10.25.04 by oneglove 4-Nov-04/3:27 PM
A nice image - man/woman, moon/sun - long dance before the eclipse when she graciously accepts. How about a line break after anew? And "ill-fated" seems wrong with all we know about orbits.

The lunar eclipse was on 10/27/04, and you seem to be talking about a solar eclipse, so why the title?
Re: Dear Bartleby by Blurred Crusade 5-Nov-04/10:53 AM
A fine archaic letter, as if written a hundred years ago. Not a poem, really, but it shows us just enough to get the point. I'd vote 10 if this were a letters site.

Please do not corrupt the wonderful depiction you've created here by using the pedestrian "that" in the last line for the more elegant "who."

I hope also to rise someday to this level of verbosity and pomposity. For now I'll just admire the similis and graceful inferences to works of the masters contained in your homespun, but wonderfully insiteful work.

Re: Caducus (destined to fall) by Caducus 8-Nov-04/10:12 AM
The first verse is great, except for heavenly mirth. It's all pretty good.

And with this statement, England declared war on Los Angeles today, asserting itself as the most lewd.
Re: keep on digging by nentwined 8-Nov-04/2:21 PM
Gold is down there too, and a host of unseen and unseeable magnets. Digging can mean all these things and more. It seems like a listing of diggables.
Re: Just Shut Up! Everyone Just Shut Up! by MacFrantic 8-Nov-04/2:24 PM
Good, except for the diatribe title and first line. It's better to remain subtle.
