I feel that the full-stops at the end of each line make the whole thing particularly poignant. I know exactly what you mean about being stabbed in the back! My ex-husband once stole all my marzipan, which I was saving for a special occasion. I really feel like you can share my pain. Hey, you've just got to ride things out and wait for the gootimes to roll around again. -10-

Would you ever actually consider saying this out loud, let alone singing it?
Here are the highlights of rubbishdom:
a)But i don't need a fucking sunrise
b)But now my ignorance came back to me
Breaking the chains and setting this heart free
c)Doesn't mean you can't have your candlelight dinners
d)Don't need a fucking sunrise
Don't give a shit 'bout a sunset
Used to admire your bright blue eyes
Unfortunately, Poemranker's ranking system does not go low enought to do justice to these cataclysmic lyrics, so I will have to be content with awarding you a -0-

I forgot about when the stars twinkeld and summer was a joyous warmth, but then I remebered again.

I admire your disregard for the stale conventions of punctuation. It makes the poem so much more ambiguous and less eloquent. Excellent! I also like the way the sudden mention of a parrot seems so wacky and obscure. -10-

You seem to be suggesting there is some merit in an idea that can only be adequately articulated in one language. What buncombe. A meaningful statement can be expressed in any comprehensive language, such as English, and any information lost in the translation can only be meaningless, emotive hogwash.

Hello. Perhaps I can shed some light on this matter. I have a degree in science from Strathclyde Univesity, and I can confirm that:
a) This poem is wrong
b) Science is true.

Having a doctorate in limerick construction, I expect you are free to experiment with all kinds of new forms of limerick, for example ones which have completely the wrong number of sylables and don't scan at all. I particularly enjoy your own brand of ambient lounge limerick.

Are you from California? Would you say teen sitcom "California Dreams" was an acurate representation of your life?

I think you should change "By winterâs glistening jewels" to "By winter's glistening jowls." It would make the poem flow more beautifully.

The title promises shoes, but the poem only disappoints. To me, there is nothing more erotic than a cardboard box full of sweaty trainers.
