I'll have you know, Sir, that I am the benefactor of several large AIDS charities. But I'm sure you don't care about that; you don't care about the suffering of millions of individuals. No, you simply leave a vulgar, rude comment on my work. I don't write for you. I write for myself. If you don't like my work, I suggest you try to better it!!

I happen to have one of those 'fish emblems' on my car and I'll thank you to stop making fun of them, ASTRO-GLIDE! How dare you!? As a committed Christian, I am baffled by your total lack of respect for anyone else on this website. I suppose you think it's clever to make fun of other peoples' beliefs? Well get this: that emblem represents something very important, not only to myself, but to humanity as a whole. Doesn't seem so funny now, does it?

I don't particularly want to see the poeme reinstated, but surely plagiarism involves trying to pass off someone else's work as your own, which he clearly isn't doing. I'd more call it "mocking someone through the medium of replacing one line in their poeme with an obscenity". If he'd posted the exact same thing in a comment on the original, would you call it plagiarism?

No, really. If you're going to try to piss people off at least do it with some style and/or subtlety. Right now it's obvious that you're trying to annoy people, and since the initial "impact" has worn off it doesn't seem to be working anymore. At this point any self-respecting troll would launch into "sorry sorry I didn't mean anything can I still be friends with you?" and watch with glee as all the smug, outraged refusals came pouring in.

I didn't see the poeme, but I'm cracking up at the idea of mocking someone by changing one line in their poeme to 'sucking cock'. It's so childishly crude that there is no decent retort. Genius.

Trolling is only funny when the people you're trolling don't realise it.

Also, I know you don't necessarily like "density", but I think the last third could stand to be more concise.

This is fairly dandy. However, someone I know (not waltfreakinwhitman) abuses the word "tug" so much that I couldn't read it without trying to find some sort of masturbatory reference in every line. (It worked in most of them.)

dougsoderstrom, I have no problem with accepting that Jesu was a wonderful, kind, amazing person, and that he gave his life because he thought he could save humanity. But the rest of it is bullshit, and I don't see how your point here affects whether it is or not.
I don't mean to be crude or seem ignorant, because I've "done" "philosophy of religion" until my face nearly burst, but my experience is that 90% of Christians don't put up a decent argument, so it saves time to just say what I think. For all I know, you do. Good day, Sir.

I think the problem is solved if you just accept that Christianity is bullshit. What do you think about that, Sir!
