Oh, you're all alone again. Well pass me the chainsaw, I'm going to cut my heart out because the sorrow is so unbearable.

It's perfectly natural to respond with aggression to such a great joke. But I really feel it's in your best interest to try to work around your anger, not only on poemranker but also in your daily life.

Hey guys I just thought of a great joke.

Q: What do you get if you cross the works of Thomas Nagel with the startup DOS batch file?

A: "What is it like to be autoexec.bat?"!!!!!!!11

TanHand, you just don't know what it's like. Me, I've done dope, scag, crack, smack, coke, meth, jack, ludes, roofies, huffies, polk, dust, rock, reek, blow, acid, jives, poppers, e's, spic, junk, jig, hams, spork, puff, speed, whiz, yatt, pink, cake and toff-raffers. The dope line ain't tired, and if you'd ever taken a crack you'd understand.

Someone tried to sell me a Big Issue today. I did not purchase it.
Re: a comment on Love Under Will by Tyriana 7-Feb-03/10:21 AM
Not long ago, I was batheing in a lake. I was nude. Then I was hit in the face with a flat stone. The dangerously stupid girl who threw the stone said she was "just skimming". Fortunately, I am fully trained in the Art of Facial Reppellence and was able to absorb the projectile on its third bounce using my Emergency Combat Glands. Next time, I might not be so lucky. So if you ever decide to spend your evenings "skimming" again, please make sure you are accompanied by a responsible adult and that you only use pretend stones or stones made out of cream cheese and/or chives. Good day.

Do you understand how the indentation of a comment relates to its place in the hierarchy of the discussion?

Re: a comment on throw-away by mindsigns 6-Feb-03/9:32 AM
If the crime is "having the heart to care" then I guess I'm guilty as charged. If the crime is "giving a damn about the feelings of others" then I guess you'd better lock me up. If the crime is "being physically and morally disgusted at Man's treatment of Man" then I guess I'd have to plead 'insanity'. But if the crime is "having to hoist myself onto the toilet using some sort of obscene harness together with a complex system of ropes and pulleys" then there is absolutely no basis for those allegations whatsoever and I resent the accusation that I cannot make toilet on my own terms!!!

I wouldn't 'object'. I'd be physically sick.
Re: throw-away by mindsigns 6-Feb-03/7:47 AM
I think it is one of the great tragedies of Western Culture that that we live in such a 'throw-away' society. People will throw anything away these days - a used tissue, some trash, a light bulb, some crutches that have had some jam spilt on them, an unwanted child...

...yes that's right. You heard me. I said "unwanted child". Because in our obsession with materialistic wealth, we've lost sight of what it is that makes us all human. We've forgotten about the TRUE meaning of Christmas. We've started to treat PEOPLE as if they were mere OBJECTS... The "oh I don't want this baby I'll just get an abortion" attitude is so fundamental to our outlook on life that I think it's affecting our ability to operate heavy machinery.

Don't be blinded by your own preconceptions, Ranger. They may be different, they may bathe less frequently, they may have smaller brains and they may not have evolved properly. But that's no reason cast the first stone at the cowering cocoa bean. Why not give it a pat on the head and put it to work in a field somewhere?
Re: Soldiers by Bobjim 5-Feb-03/6:19 PM
Christ man, are there no officers in this unit? Such a rag-bag army of ruffians can have no effectiveness on the battlefield!
Re: The Grapes of Wrath by ==Doylum 5-Feb-03/5:48 PM
When you enter the vineyard of your neighbor you may eat grapes as you please to your satisfaction, but you must not take away any in a container. Deuteronomy 23:24

By the way, this is my 2000th comment guys! Party at my place!!!!1
Re: a comment on Cant sleep, clown will eat me.(A poem about clowns) by lunar 3-Feb-03/2:44 PM
Dude, everyone is a fucking Simpsons fan. It's like the most popular show on TV or something. I am a fan of the Simpsons, and I don't see how that could help me see "where you're coming from on this". Copying a line and making it your title doesn't somehow make it a Simpsons-related poeme.
