Re: AIDS Bonanza! by -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. 12-Sep-02/8:10 AM
BRAVO!!!! WELL DONE, SIR! You are indeed a champion, and prove without a doubt that the keyboard is mightier than AIDS (but not mightier than Jesu, of course.)
Re: Not in front of the kids. by darby pyn 12-Sep-02/8:01 AM
Do you really want everyone to get stuck at the title? If not, I suggest you change it.
Re: Gone Away by Christof 12-Sep-02/8:01 AM
Gone away, or returning soon? The focus is morbid, but touching. Why do you think that you will outlive her? Statistically, we live longer than you gents. Could you not live without her?
Re: Torn... by loneshadow29 12-Sep-02/7:59 AM
perhaps 'burdensome beast' would work better for you. a beast of burden is an ox, or the like, and i don't think you're writing about going around with farm animals strapped to your back. regardless, i hope that, by now, you have shed it.
Re: a comment on Pigeons by Limness 12-Sep-02/7:53 AM
in the Middle Ages, the church bell tower would call people (monks and nuns, especially) to prayer. It was used to mark time as well. Matins, Ave, Evensong--all of these were times of prayer throughout the day, either rung on different bells, or with different sounds. Matins was just before dawn. So 'toll the Matins' here, means sunup.

because the pigeon is sleeping in the open square and the bells wake him? is that unclear? can you suggest a different phrasing? as for the old man, yes i did make that up myself. almost feels cliched, doesn't it? imagine that, something you see everywhere being paralled with something you see everywhere! wow, sometimes i amaze even myself!!
Re: a comment on Putney at Low Tide by Christof 10-Sep-02/8:05 AM
Okay then. But think about doing it my way. It works better.
Re: a comment on Putney at Low Tide by Christof 10-Sep-02/8:00 AM
But this is a fragment, not a sentence, and it begs a comma. S3 needs periods for consistency, if that's the flavor of the week.
Re: Putney at Low Tide by Christof 10-Sep-02/7:55 AM
Shouldn't it be "caonoe," (not period?) Do you need the periods?
Re: At the Olde Absinthe by Limness 7-Sep-02/6:55 AM

Re: Apathy by nentwined 27-Aug-02/1:06 PM
Opened eyes wielding power, would not, I hope, be apathetic.
Re: Mrs. Jones by unknown 27-Aug-02/1:03 PM
This sings a sad song, sung by many unheard voices. Too bad for all the Jones', Mr's and Mrs' alike
