you're never alone (Free verse) by nentwined
in your shell you are hiding
ignoring all tidings
for the world is afraiding
a-fearing a-nearing to driving you sane;
a thought is marauding
about your brain's lining
and your mind is a-burning
a-turning and churning, about to release --
but you out-see a thoughtclip
that someone else thoughted
some ponderance they noted
and toted and touted and spread all about,
some previous ponderance they needed to shout.
that thoughtclip they thoughted
is the thought you had oughted
to say but you couldn't 'til you found your release
and now that they've thoughted the thought that you oughted
you see you're a-familied
with some other creep.
though the thought that was thoughted perhaps was enguttered
down deep with the clutter
or flying up high in the ether of space,
the thought you had thoughted that the other had touted
has brought you a bone for the gnawing upon --
you're never alone.
though the thought that you thoughted was
obtuse beyond meaning or
abstracted to some infinitesimal sum
the thought that you thoughted has been thoughted by others
(though mayhaps the others have not beaten their drums)
and so if alone you are ever enthoughtened
be familied in thought that
you're never alone.
