Bow'ls. You can write about anything and make it at least halfway interesting. Cuddlytiger's problem is that she's too young to have read very much poetry, so she can't have any clue how many thousands of times these feelings have been expressed in exactly the same way, and why that would be so irritating to anyone reading a poem like this. When she responds to this, it'll probably be to the effect that she doesn't care how many times other people have written the same thing etc etc etc. That kind of talk is bow'ls to the max. Listen carefully, cuddlytiger:
THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF POETRY. THE POINT OF POETRY IS TO INTEREST OTHER PEOPLE.
I say, go ahead writing about your broken heart or whatever, but start thinking about how to do it originally and interestingly. You might start by clicking Random and reading (without commenting) until your retinas detach.

Maybe you couldn't finish it because Sasha's posts are mostly hyper-dull translations of the dullest poetry ever.
Sasha - Don't you read any of these poems before translating them?

Of course, that incident was later determined to be the worst case of Lewd-entrapment ever, as the broken outhouse door-lock which played such a crucial role in the arrest was exposed as the work of a special L.A.P.D. crack unit.

Sorry, I didn't know the definition of a Lewd until just a minute ago.
In fact, this poem could be re-written to use the motif of endlessly circulating and receiving the same e-mail forwards as a symbol for modern directionlessness or something. Basically, it would involve starting over with only the title from this piece, but since you've already admitted to disliking this one, it couldn't hurt.

Are you still trying to get your wings back? How do you think you're going to manage that when even ( )CLS( ) can't hold on to hers? Face it, man, the wings of shame are headed in the general direction of the dodo. The only thing left to aspire to will be gay points.

"on a summers ablaze" doesn't make any sense. And this is not a villanelle. -No vote-

I disagree with hypatia. I find the rhymes here sublime, though pity/serendipity did feel rather like throwing myself at a full run into the back of a parked Dodge Dart.
If you were forced - let's say at gunpoint, or else by some crazed chef wielding a large rancid hamhock - anyway, I'm getting off topic: What I mean is, if you were forced by a hamhock-wielding maniac to identify yourself some other way than by your connection to Dave, could you? You should probably think about this question a lot more than you're going to.

I find this comment especially funny, coming as it does from a 19 year old boy who spends most of his time pretending to be Catullus. You massively fail on yourself.

I hate e.e. cummings, as I've said dozens of times here. You are on suspension from assuming you know anything about me until further notice. If you have any questions, please contact the FBI.

Robert Pinsky's Inferno is already ultra-ace. This isn't bad. I know I'm supposed to be making fun of you again. Consider yourself momentarily reprieved.
Do you have Nina Simone's version? It's totally great, but you'd probably get a chuckle out of her French.
