Is an alwife a fish that spawns on the beach of Lake Michigan? The last line needs some help.

Somehow the title and the last line are alien to to the rest. Otherwise funny.

Thanks for the corroboration. I, of course, am too young to know it.
I'll look at your beeg wun.

If relationships are merely a doorway to having sex more often, then you are among all men most to be pitied.

Some day I may cease to be amazed and stop wondering what criteria you use in judging the goodness of poems.
Your concern over my drooping, or rather your concern over my possible concern over my drooping, is very tender indeed, and perhaps stems from concern about virility's illusion turning eventually to a joke. A much appreciated 10.

Is it about some May flowers visible in the neon lights at night, and worth the drive?

I don't see how the weatherman forces you to trust. It's all about probabilities. Also, Doppler is a short-time-range tool and does little to predict "rain all week."
"gladdened cancer tales" is good.

Overwritten for what it says.
Why introduce the King James English?
The last line is good.

Either everyone is misinterpreting this or I am. We have here, as I see it, a political statement in favor of truck drivers with some poetry added, and pretty good poetry to boot. I think you could lose the last two lines.

It was sad for Bob when his pet, Baby Dumpling, was dying of congestive heart disease. As I watched them together near the end, it seemed that it was not sad for Baby Dumpling. The dog seemed happy for an extra measure of attention.

Some people say a dog knows when its death is near. I prefer to think that an event so traumatic and unknown before entering it cannot be understood by a dog to the extent that humans can understand it. I think our knowledge on the subject has done us little good.
