The most logical interpretation is not always right, that's what I always say, and go on looking, to the frustration of nits and nit-pickers. Maybe the robin also ate some berries.

An amusing little story. RED and brown? Does the bird have colon cancer?

Would be stronger with a few words scratched - carbonless, "is" in the title, becoming, invincibility.

Not cinquain. You know what's funny. If you search cinquain at dictionary.com it causes a glitch in which it can't find any definitions but then offers twice the exact same spelling as an alternative and if you click those it just brings up the same response but if you type cinquains (the plural form) than you get the definition for cinquain. Maybe it's the Smythe-Klein Effect.

The hideous and groundless thing here is your insistance on dwelling in a side issue of no importance. What will happen when you wake up and realize?

You say that because you are looking at one small side issue of the arguement, ignoring 90% of what I said.

Much better than your piece High? Coo. Uses plenty of lively language that reminds me of dodgy cocktail bars. I'm not sure about the exclamation mark and the capitalization of jazz nights at the end, bit too much exclamation for my likings, anyway good effort.

I know you use your poetry to convey your thoughts and experiences and wish to make an accurate account of your life and times and everything, but did you know that in 61 poems you've asked an astonishing 83 questions? Do you plan on ever answering anything?

DOVINA: The black race is the most different from the white race.
ZODIAC: No, we're still fighting.
DOVINA: Whatever, I know I'm not racist, while you think you might be racist. By my logic, you're racist and I'm not.
ZODIAC: I can't load 'Racism' so let me ask you here: Do you understand how given ANY TWO GROUPS AT ALL, one of them HAS to be superior, on average, to the other, on average, at any given thing? -=Dark_Angel=-'s right, if you don't get that, you're racist.
DOVINA: If I'm racist, I'm only racist IN FAVOR of cute blacks.
ZODIAC: That is not a plausible defence.
DOVINA: Blaaaaaaaaat.
ZODIAC: Whatever.

If you really had integrity, you'd do it. As things stand you've Hitler's integrity, clinging to the death to some groundless, hideous, arbitrary notion. When you wake up and find what a bunker your ideology's reduced to, you're going to shoot yourself and everyone else in the room.

Yes, you are right. How could I have been so deceptive as to cover my lack of integrity in veneer. Actually, I must admit prejudice toward Negroes. (And please notice my bending to the name you have chosen for their race, Itâs a good name, but has come into disrepute in recent years.) My prejudice is in liking some of them a lot, and basing my affection partially on race. The cute black man at Trader Joeâs who gives me free samples is absolutely adorable in his curls and baby-like smile. And that bass singer doing Old Man River is so very manly and domineering. Then thereâs the poet with enough smarts to make me feel inferior sometimes, which has led to my being genuinely attracted. Yes, I must stop tiptoeing and get right to the heart of my prejudices in the future.

A somber tale, and if true, points to the death rate by car accident, 4%, compared to suicide, 1.4%, in the US. It's just that poetry seldom leads to car accidents.

If your veneer of racial impartiality was anything other than skin deep, you'd have no trouble answering the question. But you can't answer it, because you can't even think the word 'Negro' without tiptoeing around the subject, terrified of exposing the slightest hint of prejudice. The only thing more astounding than your closet racism is your complete lack of integrity. -0-
