I truely am honored that you would take your time to write such a kind piece of poetry, as this is, to a heathan like myself. I hope you understand that I will not rate this piece, due to undeniable bias. I will write a poem in responce to this, perhaps not directed to you...but more in explanation of myself. However, it was "His" plan for me to get really drunk alone last night...just like every year, and so I will have to wait until I am less hung-over. Thank you, again, for this =]

Thank you Dovina. I take this as an honour. Your normal vote on my pages is a -7-. As for the stronger stuff, this is basically how I pray. Besides, I can't cure myself of some habits, how am I gonna cure someone else's. And 'curing' ain't my fancy. Being adventurous is mine.

I'm down with that. Give me a couple of links for examples and definitions, and I'll make it happen.

Not news clippings, but a real event - from 1779 and your part of the world. Captain Cook was killed by native knives in Hawaii after his third voyage around the world.

"3-5-3 (supposedly truer to the informational content of Japanese haiku)." Is this true? I've always thought the informational content of Japanese was equivalent to, if not actually denser than, English. But then I think, well what about Konichiwa (4 syllables) and Hello (2 syllables)? But then I think, oh, right, I don't really care. Haiku's the rottest poetry form.

Good, but somehow the last stanza breaks it.

We often get proponents of religion spouting off about some evil they want to cure, but yours is made of stronger stuff.
Re: a comment on change (3rd draft) by Adriaan Adriaan 198.54.202.18 15-Feb-06/8:05 AM
I agree. I am not entirely happy with the second line, in particular the word 'but'.
Re: a comment on change (3rd draft) by Adriaan Adriaan 198.54.202.18 15-Feb-06/8:03 AM
Thanks for the comparison :) I am still leery of the word 'but' - it seems that I could use the sylabble to better effect. Any thoughts?

We oversimplify men's feelings too often. Seldom does one give us the inside story. I want to write about it soon.

Oooh! Spiritual. But more importantly... Spiders :)

Quite different from my usual preference,.... but I like it. Are these news clippings from some real event. I ain't much of a news person, must admit that.

I'm glad you noticed that, Ranger. I think so too. Thanks for your look up on this poem.

Haha, yes indeed.

Hmm not bad. I like the phrases 'soft waters', 'cold boiling ocean', 'blissful abyss', 'die as the suds die'. Things like this make up your poem. About critiquing it, looks like other's have already done so about what came to mind. She's a lucky girl to have someone still dedicate a valentine special to her.

That's a five for the poem, and a five for that comment. Plus I want to see this in the top 10, just for laughs.
