Re: a comment on Raising the nap by howl howl 81.179.116.59 27-Nov-06/2:03 AM
what do you mean re 'pushing it forward'?
Re: Raising the nap by howl Dovina 12.72.37.46 26-Nov-06/6:12 PM
"pushes it forward" in the first verse tells me to stop reading. The idea isn't bad, but too many words and discontinuous thought.

I know the grammar of that line is awful. Hoping the thought isn’t. Thanks.
Re: Journey To The Centre Of The Loom by -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. Dovina 12.72.37.46 26-Nov-06/6:04 PM
Mystically sullen. Kudos for complicity.

"were future world so kind" perhaps? :).....aaahh i see, a sense-timing paradox thing ... nice

Oh, right. It’s Essay-on-Foreign-Travel,-Replete-with-Chiches Ranker.

This isn't ConversationRanker. Get rid of it.
Re: a comment on Sonnet 1 (Nevermore - The last sonnet) by Schlinkey Schlinkey 62.16.135.98 26-Nov-06/10:00 AM
Hmh, deleted my previous comment; this sonnet was written tongue-in-cheek. The sullen poet is obviously not meant to be Poe. Both the title, and the message should be hints enough ;p

Think so too, to be honest. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll fixit methinks.

Thank you :)
Re: a comment on Instruction by Dovina Dovina 12.72.34.155 26-Nov-06/6:23 AM
Oh gosh, it's just a conversation. Really, quit. :)
Re: a comment on Instruction by Dovina Dovina 12.72.34.155 26-Nov-06/6:22 AM
It would truly be a nerdy thing to post an essy here, on Derrida, or as Horus8, on life in general. But the place is so vacant, why not?

Much better

Update - make that a whole essay on Derrida. I'm such a nerd.

Well done Dovina--holds its own with some of your best. It's nice to read some decent stuff for a change.
Re: She dreams by amanda_dcosta some deleted user 64.140.228.224 26-Nov-06/4:09 AM
Very well done Amanda--a refreshing change from some of the stuff thats been posted lately--keep up the good work.
Re: a comment on Instruction by Dovina Ranger 62.252.32.15 26-Nov-06/1:50 AM
I don't have anything particularly recent to post except for half an essay on Derrida. Poetry websites seem to have sucked the life out of me. I am still around though, whenever there's anything worth commenting on.

D, Ranger.. thanks. This is awesome. Must be really good since you both gave me a nine. :-))))))))))) I am however making changes to the line that reads "of oaks and pine and firs growing tall" (3rd verse, 3rd line), and changing it back to "as snow flakes fall upon her nose". Think that works best. Thanks.

I thought it was 1,764. Yes, I'm sure of it. And you will sleep again.

The world of rhymes is not “naught but jumbled chance.” Poe would not have said so, nor would his raven, Nevermore. Only this poem would and is.
