This would make a beautiful alt-country song. I tried it out on guitar and it sounds good with a few minor tweaks for the flow, namely in the chorus... i.e. - I never liked the rain as much as you (-did)

I think this is more about a feeling....wanting to take the drugs to kill the pain...not so much in actually doing it. Been there myself...I like it.

I sincerely hope that you're not really cutting yourself....but if you are then I would like to make the suggestion (perhaps unwanted) that you see your doctor about getting some antidepressants that ARE yours. I did like your poem though, by the way.
