And you, sir, are a guttersnipe of the first order! How dare you mock one such as myself over such a piddling, trivial affair? Have at you!!!!!!!!

Ok, fair comment, and seeing as I've run out of decent excuses, my only answer is that I simply couldn't be bothered (shame on me, I know) - it is only beer, after all!!!!!

Tepid - good word, considering the subject of the poem (I hate beer with a passion, hence the poor quality of the poem - I'm not going to grace such a vile liquid with good verse now, am I?)!

As my prize, then, can you this time tell me (or anyone else kind or naive enough) tell me what 'LOL' means. I'm at a loose end when it comes to dealing with text-talk or whatever it's called!

Cheers to the both of you, and thanks for overlooking the typo in line 7 - the last word, 'phase' should actually read as 'phrase'. Just thought I'd clear that one up now.

I've just read them, and I'm on the fence as regards my view. I see the point you and others have that people should accept the fact that if they're going to put up their work for ranking, they should accept all reviews, good or bad. However, I also see some sense in what Maria and co. are saying, and I feel that it's pointless just to slate something without giving some constructive criticism. In other words, saying something is crap is fine, just say why, and give a few pointers on how to do better next time. Regardless of ability, we're all here to improve, and it would be much better if we were supportive of fellow poets, and helped them to progress, rather than slamming them for the sake of it (although I must admit these skirmishes make for excellent reading!). Ok, rant over!

There's nothing wrong with being pedantic - it's just attention to detail. Oh, and could somebody explain the feud between Blade, Tintagiles and Maria - every poem one of them has written seems to be followed up by a slanging match from the other two. What's all that about?!?!
