If he eliminated the comma at the end of the second line, even that would increase its value greatly. Though it would still not make it very good. There's nothing wrong with being pedantic - it's just attention to detail. Oh, and could somebody explain the feud between Blade, Tintagiles and Maria - every poem one of them has written seems to be followed up by a slanging match from the other two. What's all that about?!?!

I've just read them, and I'm on the fence as regards my view. I see the point you and others have that people should accept the fact that if they're going to put up their work for ranking, they should accept all reviews, good or bad. However, I also see some sense in what Maria and co. are saying, and I feel that it's pointless just to slate something without giving some constructive criticism. In other words, saying something is crap is fine, just say why, and give a few pointers on how to do better next time. Regardless of ability, we're all here to improve, and it would be much better if we were supportive of fellow poets, and helped them to progress, rather than slamming them for the sake of it (although I must admit these skirmishes make for excellent reading!). Ok, rant over!
I just spoke to Hep Cat - he says he doesn't want to get involved with any of this - fight it out amongst yourselves, 'cos he just wants to work on his poems...sob, sob!

You and Maria should try not to enjoy the I'm-the-victim, everyone-is-being-mean-to-me rung too much. This is a poetry website. Take a break, like I do. If you wish you could just grab them and shake them, you can't. Besides, you sound extremely dumb and childish (pay attention I didn't say child-like let's not insult children) when you answer criticism with anger and curses. Simply take the criticism, better the poem or get rid of it and start again. Come back when your poems look less like shit(e).
