Jabberwocky. The idea was to convey a story while filling it with words that don't exist. Most of those words do imply certain things though.

Don't be too hard on her, Amanda. Dovina came here a few years ago with a bunch of ideas about religion nobody else could accept. And though I'd like to think most of the old-time poemranker users have matured since then, I get the feeling sometimes that Dovina's still hurt by her first experiences here, and a little bitter. Anyway, I hope you find the rest of us here aren't such religion-snobs. Or such people-snobs.

Oh, Poemranker has a large Arab readership? I didn't know. I suppose I have offended alot of them with my erotic poetry, comments, and generally dominant female attitude. (Of course, I know that they all will want to attack me at every turn for such things, while they secretly read every dirty little seduction I write while trying to abtain my IM name or email, so they can send me dirty picture of themselves. I am being unfair, I know....

I don't know of those places, other than Charlotte, so I could never let on. I am near Raleigh.

So I guess this comment means the wealth=intelligence argument is over?

I'm in Charlotte. I spent eight of the last 9 years in Cullowhee, Sylva and Maggie Valley. If you know these places, please kindly don't let on to poemranker how invariably hole-like their colleges are.

Not me...I usually choose to play inside a little box labeled 'fantasy'. Oh, well, yeah, I guess that too is a reflection of the world I live in, or choose not to, as the case may be :)

Dear Dovina, I do not intend to share my Christian faith, just the person who I am. You may not find my poems digestable, but that's acceptable. You have your own identity and that's fine by me. As for me and my poetry, you're gonna get this style whether you like it or not. May be if you pray real hard you might find a turn for the better......

I AM in NC...so is this type of exchange isolated to NC? I do love it here...for the weather, beach to the East, mountains to the West, things growing nearly year 'round...

Thanks for the applause! anyway, it was written way back in 1996, unedited. Good to know the approval of the presentation and context. Thank you.

I am writing the U.N.! I want a separation of church and war...like the separation of church and state!

Sorry, all I have is gold bouillon, and I hoard that. Care to barter? :) (BTW, is this (gold) bouillon spelled the same as, say, 'beef bouillon'? It does seem it should be 'bullion'!) My favorite lines> But in the land of sand and dust Their blindness, like ours, is begotten from the words "In God We Trust".

I understand that you wish to share your Christian faith. I wish you would give it a little more thought before writing though. Most of these lines are trite. May I suggest reading CS Lewis, "Mere Christianity" for ideas on how to make your beliefs more digestable.

Why must you entertain us with such lyrical, but unintelligible talk? Can you not speak Ordinary sometimes? Iget only inklings of what you mean.

Sorry you've developed over the years such an attraction to the fiction, -=Dark_Angel=-,P.I., written by at least two people the nature of whom changes from dismal to dismal according to the weather and who seeks only the belittlement of good poets. Fall for it if you will, and maybe it truly represents the characters of its creators. Enjoy.

I'm sure mine engages Arabs more than his does.
