There seems to be some friendly badinage I am missing out on here. The poem is crap.

I have been to the baths at Lucca. They were out of soap at the time so I had to make do with a tinkle.

Before using foreign words, you need to have just a TEENY knowledge of the language involved. And you don't. 0/10 as a reward for combining ignorance, pretension and lack of humour.

Perhaps you should be posting this on a different website. Anyway what do you expect going on a common package tour at cheapo prices?

You're kidding, right? If you're going to use archaisms, at least have the sense to know how to use them. "Doth," whose usefulness died with the last perfunctory wannabe romantic, is a singular form of "do" and therefore cannot have a plural subject. "Where rats doth go" makes you sound nothing but pretentious. Anyone who rhymes death with breath is really not adept with verbal gymnastics. "I fear" is the most forced of rhymes in this poem, closely by "snow/go/so"

The poem works for me except for "tiger's mouth"--I think with your talent you could find a better simile. Good work overall though--as usual.

Stephen, you're pathetic. When will you ever stop.

Ranger, Howl? Why the eights?

This sort of service is commonplace in the Near East. Quite how a country can possibly hope to operate a civilised society without the customer service standards imposed by Which? magazine and the Watchdog T.V. programme are quite beyond me.

You make me want to puke.

I thought this was excellently well written and a great description of a mighty trouser snake trying to get a slice of the action. A well deserved 10/10 and ignore the previous naff comments; these people have no taste.

A graceful member of the family were thee This should be ......wert thou. As someone else said, don't use language you don't understand. Nothing is worse than ignorant affectation.

I'll trust you to have got the translation right. Is this a form of sonnet?
