OM (Free verse) by SupremeDreamer
What is the mask She wears.. oh widow, She walks and talks Mumbling.. But saying Nothing. Fool, consumed Confused, hazed Forever changing Becoming one with All.. Above it, With balance, No emotion, but all Emotion, in balance. Clear is the mask, Transparency for the Ones who see.. Then the mask Is illusion, And they can see What these calm Skies see. - Om.

There is no excuse for poor spelling. I'll be speaking to the site administrator about this; not maliciously, you see. Merely to inform him of the facts. PoemeRanker is a site for serious poetes with serious ambitions. We are constantly plagued by rogue individuals such as "horus8" or "nentwined", who have barely mastered The Art of Spelling, let alone The Art of Verse. This isn't an elitist institution, mind you; we merely want to avoid the purposeless felchings of those whose stupidity ranks in the "dangerous" category. I hope you have a good time here, SupremeDreamer. And, most importantly, I hope you have learnt something. Good Christ, I hope so...
[n/a] SupremeDreamer @ 204.31.160.126 > -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. | 22-Jun-03/3:41 AM | Reply
Learn? ah, yes, learn, i will learn to double check other peoples spelling, and ill call up a publishing company and ask to be the next top editor, so i can get right down to the core of not letting writers commit sin with the pen... oh how they shall fear the possibility of not dotting the I when im done with them. =P

All in good humor no? :)
[n/a] -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. @ 131.111.8.102 > SupremeDreamer | 22-Jun-03/3:48 AM | Reply
We don't mind a bit of humor here at PoemeRanker from time to time. But when it comes to spelling, and more importantly our poetry, we can't afford to "laugh off" our mistakes. I had hoped you would receive my constructive criticism with a little more solemnity.
[n/a] SupremeDreamer @ 204.31.160.126 > -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. | 22-Jun-03/3:54 AM | Reply
I appreciate your help in perfecting my spelling good friend, but with the condescending tone of the criticism, hey, what can I say, I bite back. It doesn't mean I don't take it seriously.

Do accept my apologies. I thought we were old enough to dispense with the tedious baggage of social etiquette in favour of a more objective approach. Obviously I was wrong.

ahh, yes. ok, well other than spelling, mind you ONE word.. would you like to add anything else we can consider constructive oh buddy pal to my eastern mystic poem? hrmm..?
[n/a] -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. @ 131.111.8.102 > SupremeDreamer | 22-Jun-03/4:25 AM | Reply
You need to change your attitude. You need to approach criticism with a little more maturity. The site administrator is considering, on my recommendation, introducing an award for maturity on this site. I am one of the leading candidates for this award. Why? Because I take things seriously and don't dismiss constructive criticism under meaningless slogans like "mind you ONE word.."
[n/a] SupremeDreamer @ 204.31.160.126 > -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. | 22-Jun-03/4:41 AM | Reply
Look, the fact that you pointed out an incorrectly spelled word doesn't bother me in the least bit, im not so insecure that it upsets my emotions. Obviously no arguement arose with the "rogue" horus8 when he pointed it out to me, true the spelling he gave was also incorrect, but the man was simply following poetic tradition and was drunk.

You come out of no where first making a big questionare over what I "fixed" simply to ridicule me, then make this large statement how mispellings aren't a joke, blah blah blah.

What are you man? A robot who never makes mistakes? what pathetic creature holds value to some pathetic "maturity award" to bring pride and a boost to his ego.

I don't know horus8 much, but from his work (which is 99.9% amazing) and his attitude compared to yours, he should be given your preciouse award of maturity, for he actually has character and personality, and lets not forget, a very strong sense of humor.

So while you move in like some vultcher to make me bow down to your fragile glory, the "rogues" are making sure art still has its true roots.. your kind is the disgrace to poetry and art.

Its quite sad really, I mention to you of possibly providing more constructive criticism for my poem, and you blab about maturity awards.. congradulations, your the perfect VIP for the next bloated company. ;)

Whilst you're clearly trying to engage a rather clumsy mask of indifference, your jealousy concerning the maturity award is painfully obvious to anyone with an ounce of sense. It doesn't surprise me, really. People often lash out at others when they realise something is beyond their grasp. The maturity award has nothing to do with ego, though I doubt someone like you would be able to understand that. For you, award ceremonies exist solely for the purpose of glorifying the receptive parties. That is not why I founded the maturity award. The maturity award is about recognising those individuals who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to maturity in all aspects of their conduct on PoemeRanker. Something that you have repeatedly failed to do.

clumsy mask? you think im arguing because i care? you truelly must be a poor idiot... tsk tsk.. let me explain:

your the early morning entertainment... ;) Also, what is this so called standard of being mature? Being subtly malicious? Your very amusing. Face it, your just a silly pathetic man filled with his own pathetic setups of arguements well clothed in authorative "maturity". Its just another form of starting shit, cept the difference is that I have balls to express my opinion without the candy coating. (but wait, you want me to me Mr goodboy right and feel blessed to have you "guide me..) Yeah, I know the same old shit, seen it all over the place, and its only the rebels that get more interesting and have much more diverse personalities.. but you guys still keep the good ole "I pray to jesus and confess my sins" routine. Instead of atonement, your cleansed with these nice awards to encourage us not to get in the way of your facist thought process.. we should "appreciate" it.. just like the christian tells me I need to accept jesus into my heart. *fart* ahhh.. simple delicate release of waste...

Yet again you dig yourself an even deeper hole with the pale green spade of envy. How carelessly you blunder all over the place, squawking and gesticulating like some sort of deranged Harris. And then, when all else has failed, you bring religion into the discussion, desperately trying to justify your blasphemous lifestyle with cries of hypocrisy and feeble pleas to my own (so-called egotistical) self-glorification ceremonies. I have very little to add to my previous statements, my friend. All I would say is that Christ loves you, despite what you might think. All He wants is a relationship with you, but unless you choose to accept Him into your life, you'll never get to know true happiness. I'll pray for you.

No, actually, I'm currently doing a study on the power of suggestion. A fascinating phenomenon occurs when an individual trusts another unknowingly losing their trust in themselves and better judgement. I could have spelled it "Trainspottingcy" and that's what we would have found this morning. Interesting, aye?

You would be too, if they paid you for it, like how they pay him. Horus8, is a figment of some poor lost child’s mind on the plane of say Peter Pan. A defense mechanism gone horribly out of control. He doesn't sleep, doesn't eat. Rests fully clothed sitting or standing. Is fearless, godless, and undeniably psychic. A soul so old you can't shake it from your mind for days, weeks, sometimes forever. That one mutated gene that Darwin slept on for a lifetime. I've seen him enter a room and within 30 seconds be able to break the entire environment down into, I don't know, programs, formulas, codes of operating the room that he's developed to survive and entertain himself, even down to what spots are better to sit and stand in. Who to trust, who's dangerous, who he could love, who would love him, who's in control, who's not, what might happen if scenarios. I've seen him spontaneously bite people, blatantly imitate them to themselves, seduce, connect, humiliate, expose, enchant, hypnotize. Horus8 is strikingly scary at times, and other times the ultimate companion in everything. Once, I asked him how he did it (poet, father, teacher, writer, comedian, prostitute, drug addict, alcoholic, actor, singer, painter, sculptor, anthropologist, psychologist, historian, collector, director, producer, giver, taker, dreamer, elitist, Mason at the 33 degree) He stared at the wall as if he missed the question, then about two minutes later, out of no where, he says that he'd forgotten, there was a beat and then we just cracked the fuck up, but I've heard different rumors. Here's a short quick list I've compiled from memory.

You will find the rest of this comment posted as a recent under the title "Gordian knot" enjoy.

Bravio, I must warn you though, -=D_A=- is a highly trained dolphin crustacean hybrid with oven mitts instead of pincers and blown hole 'stead a blow hole, also, there's no way to beat him, because he's older than the first rabbit Rabi, I've spent a year and a half battling his legions in the hills and valley's of Yor to no avail. 200 poems later I'm further from bettering him then when I began, and I've been abandoned by my peers for my lust and determination in the campaign. Now the bastards all I have left, that and my trusty gum dispenser.

Dispense more gum into the angels mouth, so no one else suffers his whining screams. I'll buy you a teddy so you won't be lonely when that poor angel chokes.. we can end the war man, theres hope!

Or we can simply let up and let the angel choke on the feces coming out his mouth and let him and the conquered lands rot into nothingness.. either way, we win, he loses.. ;)

oh please, SupremeDreamer. This isn't about who wins and who loses. Nobody has campaigned with greater diligence, or honesty, for more maturity on this site than me. Given that all I'm trying to do is help others be more mature, in the same way that I help myself to be more mature, can't you see that I have already won? You, on the other hand, appear to be indulging in some sort of childish foray into poetry, never pausing to think about the consequences of your actions, all the while mocking respected institutions such as the maturity award, and repeatedly punctuating your puerile outbursts with juvenile utterances like "feces", "fart", "balls" and "shitty brown"

Your stance here? Amazing, simply finger gag me to death regalishly amazing. You my friend have just overdosed on plaid and wool socks. Because I can feel it, your absolute indifference to you pretending you're absolutely indifferent through sheer fact verses fiction being in what you positively know to be your total and complete control. I wonder who's more emotionally obliterated me, you, or Supremely head in the clouds? Not that it makes a widdled coaster of a difference anymore since I've been inducted into the "Stall of none came" I can die knowing i was better at being a booty than a sock on the foot of a Leper named Afrony Oopsthatsmyear. i've led a privalidged millenium, how you feeling? Do you think that, in a metaphorical sense, we all wear masks? Masks that conceal our inner emotions from the prying eyes of the urchins that plague our troubled streets? Do we use masks to present an image that we hope society will find acceptable? Are we afraid to betray our actual feelings for fear of being ostracised, or even sodomised up the bum?

Or do you think that's just a load of bollocks?
[n/a] SupremeDreamer @ 204.31.160.126 > -=Dark_Angel=-, P.I. | 22-Jun-03/3:31 AM | Reply
most wear masks (aka false ego) to deal with all the wonderfull insecurities people have with themselves and insecurities with how the world will/might percieve them in the lil squishy globe called earth i hold in my hand.

yes captain, i keep the faith, but the question is:
does that make me enlightened, or just another fool worshiping dead scrolls?

Many questions yes, and I will answer it:

Fools with masks become blinded and fall to disgust and regret
So now they must fret
And decide who to blame...
But aren't they still just blind fools all the same?

Blind still, yes, for now they see black and white, but hey..
man.. WHERES THE GRAY?
