What do you want, a medal?

Rap is african american rhythmic poetry. Are you suggesting that since rap is an african american art form, it does not qualify as poetry? Why are you so convinced that my Haiku is not poetry, anyway?

Oh my God! That girl is you!
Re: What Does it Mean to be Human by Sterling5583 13-Jun-02/9:05 AM
Being human means that you have the gift of shame. Humans must wear clothes, while sinful animals wander around in the nude. We also have the gift of speech, for it is blasphemous for animals to talk. Humans may dine on animals and treat them as lesser beings for animals have no morals. That is why vegetarians are foolish.

Bagels were invented by a Viennese baker to honour the king of Poland. Years later, when many a Jew moved to the U.S.A!, they brought with them a desire for bagels. That is why bagels have been closely associated with cities with large Jewish populations. Cities like New York City (The Big Apple) and Chicago (The Windy City).

My comments can seem harsh at times. But that's only because I am deliberately trying to insult you. I hope that this will give me great pleasure and hell, we might even learn a thing or two about self-esteem along the way.

The more of your poemes I read, the more I am overcome with a sense of joy and splendour. I had no idea poetry could be so startlingly original. And so diverse as well. Keep up the good work, though I'm not sure how much more beauty my hearte can take before it is overwhelmed.

I think that it is surely one of the greatest tragedies of society that your brother will not play with you just because you're black.

A good try! But next time I suggest you only write when you feel inspired to do so. Don't force it! Ideas come when you least expect them!

Listen poetie! I gave you 10 out of 10 every time I voted for thee. Not because you are good, but because you are so absolutely awful that you are o'er the parabola of lamitude.

This is the best, absolute best exploration of human themes I have ever read. You have promise. Use it.
Re: The Chessmaster by Sterling5583 16-Jun-02/5:32 PM
I THINK you'll find that children start out in life as a prawne! Silly, silly nonsense. I shall be contacting the FBI and bringing this so-called 'chess' to their attention at once.
Re: beauty by Adriaan 16-Jun-02/5:33 PM
I suggest that you read some poetry written in the last ten years! This is silly, silly nonsense.

Good use of indentation in the last paragraph!
Re: How my head feels by Adriaan 16-Jun-02/5:35 PM
Don't you think "and then it stops" slows down the flow of the poem somewhat? I think what you're looking for is a sort of counter-rhythm, but frankly it fails. You fail.

What is this 'toilin' you speak of? Some sort of toilet-linen? Balmilise me with it at once!

This beautiful piece is a bolde statement about our sinful attempts to conceal our true, revolting selves from the Worlde. Alas! no amount of shameful deception will deceive the Almightye! Only an isolation boothe, complete with a Ghostbusters (TM) containment field, may ward off the Holy Spirit.

I call this your desperate attempt to be crowned King of the Worst Poeme section. I suggest you stop deliberately trying to topple AIDS in a Van from its rightful throne! AIDS in a Van is so utterly crude and tasteless that it is bound to receive more zeros than any other. At least it would if you stopped giving it 10's.

I'm just trying to help you, my child. One cannot expect to use poemeranker as a means of fuelling one's ego, lest there be weeping and gnashing of teethe. Forgive him, Lord Jesu, for he knows not what he says.
