Re: a comment on Submission by Dovina 17-Nov-05/8:55 AM
Damn! I would have loved to hear his response to that.
Re: a comment on Submission by Dovina 17-Nov-05/8:53 AM
No it's not about you. Egoboy.
Re: a comment on Haven by cyan9 17-Nov-05/8:47 AM
No it means you don't believe anyone but you knows what they're talking about. This you have validated time and time again. So why even bother to comment on anything of yours whatsoever let alone answer any of your cynical questions.
Re: a comment on Submission by Dovina 17-Nov-05/8:08 AM
I thought a certain person (who I will not name) was the inspiration for the computer metaphor. He has confessed his emotionlessness to some degree.
If you start to read it in this way you can see how it made me go "Whoa! Wow!"

Another word for egg is "ovi". Now take "ovi" out of "DoviNA".

I take it the John Updike remark didn't sink in. I've had enough conversations with Zodiac to safely say that most likely all the education and publications he's claimed are true.

Maybe you're right though and maybe you have ESP.
Re: Submission by Dovina 17-Nov-05/7:37 AM
Is it just for him or all of us hardware men?
You carried that metaphor all the way through like a tightrope walker. Do the 4 attitudes have different screen names? If so dare I ask for their names so I can read their poetry too. Call me a silly romantic but I really can't help but think of it as a love poem.

You inspired another little poem out of me:

It came to me one cold winters day
to take the egg out of Dovina and make DNA.

It may just be because think I actually get all of this one that I feel giddy enough to give you -10-.
Re: a comment on There is a journey tree by ALChemy 17-Nov-05/6:48 AM
Thanks. I never got around to saying for obvious reasons that your poems have that same sense of flow. I think we both tend to lean towards the musical effect of poetry. I bet you'd appreciate the works of E.A. Poe. He was really my introduction into poetry.

(ii) Yeah like why should I obay that cop just because he has that shiny badge and all.
Re: a comment on Haven by cyan9 17-Nov-05/5:58 AM
Sorry. But you're one of the few good enough to make a living at it. That's why I don't even bother to give you a score. Students don't grade teachers.
Re: a comment on Haven by cyan9 17-Nov-05/5:51 AM
I'd love to give you a detailed answer on that but your previous arguement shows that it's a waste of time.

If I told you my name was John Updike would that make a difference.
Sure, you'd say more like Up Johnsdick.

(something a wise man once said)^

I bet you are cute, Shorty.

Are you still?

See it's kinda fun DS.
Re: a comment on Beneath the Willow Tree by cyan9 17-Nov-05/5:30 AM
I hope we are. I'll try not to leave anymore comments on your poems if you promise to be a little more patient with us "teenagers" (by the way I'm 32). OK? Deal?
Re: a comment on Haven by cyan9 17-Nov-05/5:23 AM
I majored in graphic design and illustration. Poetry is just a hobby I've had for about 15 yrs. I mean who majors in poetry anyway?
Re: a comment on Us Sinners by BrandonW 17-Nov-05/5:15 AM
Now I've just got to see that movie again.
Re: a comment on Us Sinners by BrandonW 17-Nov-05/5:14 AM
Yes.

Um Dovina if you're reading this don't be mad. He's comparing you to a beautiful woman with huge lovely natural breasts. I could not describe a perfect woman better.
Re: a comment on Beneath the Willow Tree by cyan9 17-Nov-05/5:08 AM
Just hit the red x to delete it. Stop burning bridges. Sometimes people just need to get a feel for what you're trying to do in your poem. As an artist I under stand how frustrating it is when people don't get what you're trying to do. So they just tell you the truth about what they got from the poem. Be patient you're new, they'll catch on.
Re: a comment on Beneath the Willow Tree by cyan9 17-Nov-05/4:57 AM
I totally understand what you mean D. This comment of yours was a total waste of time.
Re: a comment on Beneath the Willow Tree by cyan9 16-Nov-05/7:44 PM
Thanks for the info. It should come in handy.
