Re: a comment on Haven by cyan9 cyan9 217.40.63.105 17-Nov-05/3:08 AM
I will take this as a less than serious addition to the less than serious slanging match that we have had, which, irritating and amusing as it has been, should end soon. I have written the response below in retort to the argument that you have given in jest here, rather than you (much as it does use the word ‘you’).I do not expect a response. This argument is invalid and is a form of submission. You have fielded your uncertainty in yourself by not stating your degree. You have fielded your uncertainty in yourself by not fielding an argument; instead you have tried to force people to believe that your un-stated arguments are more valid, by trying to imply that you have an accolade that you may or may not have received. I have two problems with this: (i) There is no way of verifying your degree status on the internet; and thus it must be considered invalid. The validity must come from mutual acceptance of the argument. (ii) By putting yourself at a point at which you believe that your opinions are more valid, since you have a degree, you show that you do not question your own validity in this area, and thus are less credible than a person who does. I would also query the suggestion that having a degree in an area conventionally considered creative may lead to enhanced appreciation of creativity, especially from what I have seen of so called Doctors in these fields. I would state that from my own personal experience, creativity and its appreciation comes from a combination of self-expansion, pro-activity within ones mind, and humility; most certainly not from time spent in the classroom following curriculum alone. Those that field this kind of argument are revealing that they have placed themselves higher than everyone else, without nothing of substance beneath them, in order to hold them, or break their fall.

In seriousness is this true? (little time for matters of eternity)

The one on the bottom of my tongue is always raw or sore the next day because it rubs against my bottom teeth so much.
Re: a comment on Frenulum by BrandonW BrandonW 216.78.63.199 16-Nov-05/11:13 PM
"A frenulum (or frenum) is a small fold of tissue that prevents an organ in the body from moving too far. There are frenula at several points of the body, including several in the mouth (frenulum linguae, f. labii superioris, f. labii inferioris of the tongue, upper and lower lips respectively), some in the digestive tract, and some connected to the external genitalia. In the female these include the frenulum clitoridis of the clitoris and the frenulum labiorum pudendi (aka. fourchette) where the labia minora meet at the back. The word frenulum on its own is often used for the frenulum preputii penis, which is an elastic band of tissue under the glans penis that connects to the prepuce and helps contract the prepuce over the glans. It is often partially or totally removed during circumcision. When short or tight it may prevent normal retraction and inhibit normal sexual activity."

I just wrote to let you know I was, in fact, a woman; since you refered to me as 'he' and 'him.'

I am cute, but not short. Cute can be acquired, short cannot. In that lie all the reasons for politics and religion.

I see no point in shrouding a thing like this. In allowing several ingterpretations, you do what I do, and incur the consternation of me. maybe you meant something particuar, maybe nebulosity. It seems to me that a poem should at least purport something, not paint lines pointing in all directions. It's ok if readers find other meanings, but some meaning should stand our like a basket of fruit or a tree.

As for the biting comments, I have little time to spare for matters of eternity, finding the slanging matches between teenage poetry snobs of higher importance. My comments are more of an irritated response to the image that you and zodiac have presented. I welcome the chance to receive feedback on my work, and get distinctly annoyed when I receive time waisting comments.

Neither do I, but in the interest of diversity, I sometimes enjoy the company of gays, transvestites, Lesbians, Christians, and egotists.

I have two legs, and can't stand on either of them for very long.

Do you have a degree in anything creative related? Nope, didn't think so. You officially have no leg to stand on.

A device linking the front wings to the back, hardly seems like a flame or disease. Is she enjoying this?

Rebellion sends a soul to Heaven every time. Hell is just a sin a way, and good sex brings it all the closer. Rebel if you must, but remember your morals and seek the ernest path so your reward is sure.

Here's Dovina's answer: Who cares. And concerning long links, they're not a lot better than short links, and short linked rankers come up without any added trouble.

You jest, of course. Actually, I don't dig that woman-power, "I am strong, I am woman" stuff. I'm really looking for a man strong enough to dominate me.
