Re: a comment on Piano by Dovina Ranger 62.252.32.15 10-Mar-06/3:51 PM
Easy. "Crocodhale". It's the next step in evolution, where a crocodile's teeth have grown so long that its mouth resembles that of a whale, but with still enough space to consume fish, eels, prawnes, smaller crocodiles, people etc. It'll also be a heavenly word for those people who like to affect a poor upper-class inflection to their accent.

Great comment, by the way!

Albert would have been dismayed. Remember Sisyphus!

How uplifting this is! You cannot imagine how words like "I drop tears upon the last hope," tears of joy upon realizing hope's fulfillment. And "How less I effort to put the pain away," just shows the pain-relieving medicine of a happy soul. Yes, "All words are absurd" in such happiness.

Title: "Prince of Void" The line, "Free me from the world that I linger in," has a prayer-like tone and a "that," neither of which seem appropriate
Re: The Tale of Hominus Ominus by Blue Magpie Dovina 67.72.98.94 10-Mar-06/3:26 PM
Very good. You built the case for Ominus needing Aggapus, but for the reverse to be true, as you say it is in the last verse, we need a strong example, as in the former. "no-one" could be no one.

re: "using monster/monstrous - too much. The word gets deflated." My hyperbole has slunk and lost its tension, like a hyperbola in limp conic section where once pricked the sharp point of a cone - is that what you mean?

I wish you and Ranger would confer among yourselves and come up with a joint proposition. This tension between whale and crocodile has got to stop!

This is great fun!

I've just remembered I said I'd come back to comment again on this; first things first, I can't get your 'Dead Poet's Dream' out of my head! As for this one; well aside from feeling prose-y, I can't find fault with it. Personally, I like lots of description in some poems - and you do it very well here. Stanza 5 = genius, in my opinion. And the penultimate and concluding stanzas work perfectly with the feel of the piece; a sort of resigned satisfaction. I hope I don't sound pretentious or patronising, but your writing has got so much better in recent posts!

I really don't think we can get even with the militant Muslims until what we do to them matches the evil of what they did to us. I think we're getting close to that now. We certainly got the right bastards in charge to do it.

i like the wording used here and the fitting subject. think if you broke it down a bit into a more sympathetic structure it would flow better and be a far better read. nice work.

Yes, something told me to check to see if he/she listed their country. When I saw Greece I was like SWEEEEEEEET;) I hope Blue's not mad I really think he/she's an outstanding poet and a very smart person. I'm just having one of those smartass days.

Feith had the Israel-Devotion and Cheney had the juice.

Well of course, I mean look at him, look at his last name for god sake. He certainly was the man with the plan but without Rumsfeld it probably wouldn't have happened. Rumsfeld was Wolfowitz' boss and yes Bush is Rumsfeld's boss but I already stated Rumsfeld got GW to OK it by offering to carry all the blame which he still hasn't honored by the way. But you are right in that this was Paul Wolfowitz' dream come true.

LOL--AlChemy, you kill me. Dick Cheney hunting jokes and GREASE lyrics in a single comment. Awesome.
Re: Emo Kid by Fayt Ranger 62.252.32.15 10-Mar-06/10:52 AM
Ha! You need to change it to: "I'll knit you a sweater And things will get better" In order for it to genuinely be a limerick. I heard from a friend that someone he knows got beaten up by a gang of about 17 emo kids...unbelievable isn't it? I can only assume they managed to depress him half to death...
Re: a comment on Breakfast by Dhanesh M Kumar ALChemy 24.74.100.11 10-Mar-06/10:38 AM
Somewhere around 15,000 to 16,000 homicides in America, the majority of which were commited by Dick Cheney during various hunting trips. About 400,000 died in the genocide in Dafur. Still quite a ways from Rwanda's 750,000+ and not even close to the 6,000,000+ Jews in WWII but giv'em time maybe they'll catch up. Incidentally Colin Powell(the guy I was defending in previous comments) was one of the first American governmental figures to bring awareness to the genocide in Dafur. What all this has to do with the debate over who's soldiers in Iraq are going through the most crap is beyond me. It doesn't matter anyway because if you'd read 2 comments down you would have seen that I was just making a point about irony. Hey I just discovered you're from Greece, SWEET! In America we always say "Greece is the word" 'cause it's got groove, it's got meaning.

According to almost everybody, it's actually Paul Wolfowitz. Who, as much as it pains me to say it, has not been adequately tested for Israel-Devotion.
