Fuck your fucking face monkey fucker (Haiku) by Bachus
They will get you too And trust me when I say that They mean business. In their monkey suits they pass out flyers at the local colleges. "Buy one get one free" "Save the whale, dolphin, and tree" "Free used mustache rides". My monkey won't talk to me anymore, since you taught him how to read.

Talent without purpose or focus is such a sad thing to witness.

I'm missing the connection here...but your statement is true. You get a b- for your insight..would have been a straight A if it had relevence.

your phrase just reminded me of something I heard one time that I thought was an interesting phrase. So I posted it. No connection really.

Are you saying I have know purpose Joe? Because, sir, I would then direct you to the proper web areas to prove you wrong. I am an ACTOR and an OPERA SINGER. And I can prove it.

I meant not offense. I think sometimes we just throw stuff "out there" without much thought. Maybe ist's a product of boredom or a need for attention...I know how good your work can be and just don't feel this piece is representative of your talents. And Horus, we all have our talents...no need for self-indulging proclaimations here... P.S the last three lines of your comment above illustrates my point.

Horus,

I did take you up on your chalenge and visited the sites noted above. To be frank with you..your music does not appeal to me in the least..to gloomy for me. But that does not mean that is not good...it's just not for me. More importantly, I do respect you for your passion and your willingness to get off your ass and put it out there. So many people talk about their dreams and never do a damned thing to make it happen. You are obviously serious about your craft! Good for you. Now a little about your bio..Why are you so hung upon this Middle American thing. I think you have a very naive view of things. A pre-occupation with work....the need to [provide for the necessities of life have preocupied man since the beginning of time. We are not opressed because we have to work. This system of ours that you seem so critical of has, to a large degree, freed us from a 24-7 concern about basic material needs. That's why art has taken on such a dominent role in our society. We can afford to pay people to sing, dance, write, and act. Maybe the guys you were hanging with at the bar had it all right and you are the one with the clouded point of view. I know I'm rambling...I've just heard too much of the "anti-system" shit in my day...al of the explanations are just so skewed and oversimplified. Anyway, like I said..I really admire you for your go get em attitude. Keep it up...I hope you find what you're looking for.

joe, just something to consider:

isnt truth or falsity simply dependent on ones point of view
and how they experience life and the world around them?

etc:

is everything at face value the relfection of the poet, or an expression of whats around him?

hrmm?

Joe... I was joking along with you? email me your email and I'll send you my latest book and you can read that and decide whether or not I succeded in putting together a collection of pieces that are a little more...Ah, deserving of both of our attentions.

talent is one thing- what a poets pen hand is inspired to create is another?
