Re: Dear Ms. Sexton by <{Baba^Yaga}> 18-Aug-02/6:15 AM
ah. unrequited love. the unattainable. the longing. the despair. the consequences. have you seen that online site with painitng by schizophenics? gud stuff there.
Re: Reno by <{Baba^Yaga}> 18-Aug-02/6:20 AM
7-7-7 for the others, and this one's called reno. coincidence? i think not. you give yourself away with the last, here. did you mean to? and the dangling letters, are you just flaunting it to get the bile a-flowing on the dark side? back to the poem--why not tie them all up at the end? i like neat packages, and you are using more structure with b^y, so why not take it the next step?
Re: Dear Ms. Sexton by <{Baba^Yaga}> 18-Aug-02/6:25 AM
ta h. i'm off to paint the room red.
Re: Reno by <{Baba^Yaga}> 18-Aug-02/8:52 AM
what's up with that? i saw your response, and i was surprised, to be honest, because it felt like you went raw when you answered, and then he comes trotting back with the salt and gives you a nice brisk wire-brush rub-down. usually, you don't get so personal. you even apologized to the guy. and now he's yanked everything. true colors a little to glaring here? man, everybody sees who everybody else is between their words. didn't you like what you saw, EW? it was that haiku he wrote about friday night escapism, wasn't it? it was a good poem, i thought. but, as usually the battle verbose was more gripping. don't be askairt, EW. repost.

i sense a theme running through your poem, dear. it's not just the lonely man who stains the sheets alone. go someplace else. stop wearing black. bathe in the ocean on a moonlit night. but not in florida, or the sharks will get you, and we'll be deprived of your future oeuvre.

the need to scroll really hurts the readability of your poems. thoughts disjoint, instead of flowing.

i'm only 9. i'm the reincarnation of seamus heany. the pope's going to cannonize me, even though i'm not catholic, for my contriburions to the arts. did i mention that i'm a prof emeritus at the sorbonne? that's why. oh, and one other thing, if you don't want criticism, don't submit your work to this site. i gave you clus; you give me sarcasm. right back at you, babe.

Re: The Ultimate~Creep goes to Mecca! by Bachus 19-Aug-02/6:12 PM
that's quite a confession, h.

yes. it definitely would sound better over a pint ot two. so long as we're talking on the telling of it, the bit about your dog disjoints, but not in an effective way. some sort of transition is needed to work it in literarily... like, another glass of ste. emillion, perhaps... miss me today? i sure as hell did. i like being outside, though, and i worked my ass off today.

i'd gladly pay, but just ask doylum--i'm a ne'er-do-well--so i guess it wouldn't hurt anyone to say this: IT WAS A LIE. ALL ADULTS LIE. ONLY KIDS TELL THE TRUTH. SO NEVER, EVER, EVER GROW UP. (growing up means you might have to think critically once in a while.) growing up 'is something i would disgrace'. and stuff. p.s.--have you read jade's stuff? and you still take her advice???
