Puddle (Free verse) by PawnedTidal
If I had the nerve To do the deed; Long ago I'd have spilled the blood, As a lonely man his seed. Filled with hate And unrelenting loneliness; Oh, how I've longed To be released from this. My jury, they say It is the ultimate sin. But much stronger are the forces That I feel deep within. Without the courage To accomplish my feat, Tears are the only puddle Lying at my feet.

i sense a theme running through your poem, dear. it's not just the lonely man who stains the sheets alone. go someplace else. stop wearing black. bathe in the ocean on a moonlit night. but not in florida, or the sharks will get you, and we'll be deprived of your future oeuvre.
