Re: a comment on There by Dovina 4-Mar-06/12:05 PM
Boy, that's the most generously packaged insult I've ever recieved. I guess Mithramas came early for me this year.

I'm not. I think I believe in God more than most people. I don't seem to have a choice. I've tried not to believe but I can't help it, I feel God's presence, I seem to understand things that are indescribable like the very presence of God. I know you'll say I feel him too but you don't, not in the same way, not till you have every reason not to believe and you still can't help but believe.
See I'm screwy like that.

She certainly seems to be a more compassionate God, and her name's more fun to say.

(Looks to the sky) "Our Amanda d'Costa, who art in Heaven..."
Re: a comment on There by Dovina 4-Mar-06/11:41 AM
What would give you that idea?
Re: a comment on There by Dovina 4-Mar-06/11:39 AM
I could see myself praying to you.

Be careful around Easter time, That day's got your number.

Really though, the simularities are astounding. Mithra: Savior Born Dec.25 of a virgin, Son of God, Magi were there, Sunday's a holy day, baptisms, healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, had a last supper, belief in heaven above and hell below, The name Pope or Papa comes from the Mithraisms high priest title "Pater Patrum", was buried in a cave and was resurected, the list just goes on and on.

No you don't. No you aren't and yes you are.

So have I but in the book she's described as quite beautiful so I'd guess Angelina Jolie will be playing her. Someone suggested Meryl Streep once but she's way too haggish.
Re: Lick up your ears by Dental Panic 4-Mar-06/9:37 AM
Surely you've heard the saying "prick up your ears" which is meant to be misheard as "prick up your rears"?

I've heard this one before except it was with a deck of cards.

-and Sophie's Choice has become a widely used term for any no win, tragic decision that must be made.

Funny, I don't remember the 2 girls being conjoined let alone twins.

Re: a comment on There by Dovina 3-Mar-06/4:44 PM
Did you know that the savior you pray to is really a Greek/Roman god called Mithra or Mithras. In case I forget next Dec.25, Merry Mithras' Birthday Dovina.
Re: a comment on =, <>, & . . . by Dovina 3-Mar-06/4:32 PM
Zodiac, this is almost Sophie's Choice question and it's unhealthy for Americans to think like this(as if we only have two choices). It stifles creativity and leaves us a system where people have to have there answers offered to them. Next thing you know we'll be stuck only voting between two different parties. Oh shit, too late. My forced choice would say little about my psychology and more about the mood I happen to be in. Psychology is still in it's early to mid stages and should not be taken too seriously at it's present point. Personally, I say we nuke Asia before the flu gets here.

I would give your comment more thought but if I did
blood would shoot out my nose.
Re: a comment on A Failed Proposition Under The Night Sky by Ranger 2-Mar-06/9:40 AM
Truth is I actually went to a Subway once and accidentally asked the girl behind the counter to "hold the hot pecker".
Re: a comment on A Failed Proposition Under The Night Sky by Ranger 2-Mar-06/9:37 AM
That would be silly. Why would I ask for something I already have.

At least one of average length.

You laughed, admit it.
