Yes, and as I said, it was an inspiratioin for this poem. Even if 99.9% of DNA is the same in all humans, the effect of slc24a5 seems great. As the article says, new strength for the arguement that race actually exists and is a worthy topic for debate is implied by this study. "For better or worse, the finding's most immediate impact may be an escalating debate about the meaning of race."

Did you even READ my last gift?

If there's a debate on this one (and I sincerely hope there isn't), it's not going to be that one. Never again. to Dovina: I wouldn't recommend writing poems about racial stereotypes, especially since, racially speaking, you're the least experienced poemranker user since SupremeDreamer vanished into a cloud of his own guff.

I'm not the one to ask, but I'm good sometimes at pretending I'm the one. I'm seeing my wife this week for the first time in 5 months, but I'll be around next week.

I believe even the ordinary in your life is very exciting to you.

No. I'm saying that is the thrust of this poem. I don't think it's a very sensible thrust, is all. I am truly happy to see you write about something other than God. OBVIOUS RESPONSE: This is about God. Challenge yourself to respond unobviously.

It is the intodroduction to a book of poetry, from which most of the pieces that I post here are from, it is about receiving heavens help, but also not seeing it as well. Its an odd one, and people on allpoetry commented that it was good but needed work, but never told me what.

And some people will just say you've lost them. Sorry, but when you put out such tempting bait you're gonna get a bite.:)

Over-educated would not include teaching a man to fish. Over-educated or educated past his intelligence level is more like giving some idiot, with an IQ of 75 and an 18th century idealogy, the means, plans, and instruction/education to make nuclear reactors and warheads. He has no ability to grasp the responsibility or concequences inherent in such information. He will use it as a neanderthal would be expected to: with lack of planning, judgement and wisdom. He may be able to understand how to put one together and how to use it, but he can not grasp the analytical reasoning one should have in order to be entrusted with the use of such information. This would be a clear example of educating a man past his intelligence level. With the results being easy to guess.

I never said I was raised on welfare, only that my mother was on welfare while pursueing her masters. There is a difference. And I wrote, in loosely-poetic form the change I believe should be taken, from hand-out to hand-up, by those wishing to do so.

Take my word for how its worded. we are all the same. "RACE" is something superficial. Racism does exist, its man-made, to just differenciate us in general, so at a glance we know who's who or specifically what we want conveyed. Thats fine. But what I am trying to say is this. we are all the same..... irrespective of who we are. We are not cows, dogs, cats,..........etc. We are all humanbeings, and what happens to the so one will happen to the other. For you are dust and unto dust you shall return. Its Christmas. We are one.... and celebrate on common event that has changed our world forever. Lets not throw away our coats of differences, but merge it to sing in unison like your mixed Quartet......Lets sing Joy to the world............ for its Christmas. Merry Christmas one and all.

Hold onto the things you believe even though they've been proven wrong. In various times, all things are right or wrong. It's a messed-up philosophy, and it's not even haiku. Or maybe you’re getting at the eastern ideas of self: “The reason I have an enemy is because I have self. If I no longer had a self, I would no longer have an enemy.” Emptiness – the void inside the pot for which the pot was made. And if that’s a bit foreign, try this: “The father is his daughter’s son.” – a Christmas mystery to think about.

Diamonds fit nicely into a stocking, not bulky, always appropriate.

Not really singable, though you could say that racial accord is like choral music, each part adding tonal qualities the others lack to produce mixed sound that's better than the sum of the parts.

Sounds like you have exaggerated what really happened by thinking about it in too much negativity. Would he really "laugh in my face To reinforce my every fear"?
