The Angry Bush (Free verse) by wilco If I were an angry bush
I'd have one all consuming wish
To be the lord of all the land
and show the world my mighty hand.
and if I were an angry bush
I'd know nothing of words and such
So I'd make a language all my own
and speak them with a tepid tone.
If I were an angry bush
I'd need some oil to make my push
I'd gather men from near and far
And send them off to fight a war.
and if I were an angry bush
I'd care for you so very much
So much so I'd tell you lies
And with the world I'd cut all ties.

I like the thinking behind this.
Quite cute. The last verse goes backwards though. I thought trouble was brewing. Then you tell us you are going to cut off ties - doesn't really follow.
Basically, it refers to telling the rest of the world to fuck off...when they didn't want to go to war....
I think the last verse is okay, but it shouldn't be the last. Switch it with the third.
I feel this could be improved by substituting the final line for one ending in 'eyes'.
I would go with DA's suggestion, but add the word "Whale" before 'eyes'. Because, I for one, am tired of seeing when the whales cannot. Oh, and I'd capitalize Bush to add historical oomph.

Love it. 10 for the politics alone.
Not very subtle but the message is OK.
