The days of old,
Of heros in the fight,
Of a flight in

Of adventure and love,
Of innocence like that of a newborn
dove,
Of life and death,
Of one's last breath,
That's what it's all
about.
To pillage and plunder,
The darkness we're under,
Of feeble hope,
Of learning to cope,
Of the hero's light,
Of God's fantastic might,

journies yet to come,
Of where we're from,
That's what it's all about.

The title (and mirrored lines) give it a much lighter feel -- (reminds me of a children's song). Could make a good heavy metal riff, maybe. The rhythm mostly works; "Of innocence [...]" doesn't work as well as the rest. :)
I don't see a pattern between the two segments. It seems you could just drop the second one (or the first one) -- they don't really add anything to each other. THe title makes me think of a that goofy pre-school song the hokie-pokie, so I actually was expecting something humorous. that's what WHAT's all about? :-) Any reference to heroes makes me think of AD&D so i'm hoping that's what you were referencing here.
